Called Yamaha Bangalore, they have started taking bookings with deliveries starting from month end. On road expected price is 3-3.5 lacs, sounds just perfect.

there is no official booking, and also OTR 3.5L is also rumour only , untill the bike launched and official price comes then only official booking will be done,

ONLY BLUE bike has BLUE rim all over the world, its speciality , rest of the colors with BLACK rim

How can they take bookings without knowing the price of the product ?
What if I book today and once it is out the price is 4.5 L ??? Are they going to refund the whole amount ?

Sounds fishy... maybe just some unofficial bookings(by the dealer) just to give priority to the ones who booked in advance... The dealer has nothing to loose

That's how the dealers take bookings, even for cars it is the same. I think they would refund the amount(5000) if you plan to cancel it

Yeah, but the point is - Is is allowed by Yamaha ? Isn't it against their company policy or something ? On the other hand, there are some dealers who don't even know about the bike's launch !!!
So strange !

I had paid 10K advance for my R15 in 2008, unofficially. I got a receipt in the name of Libero G5.
