My take is 3.6L OTR for base and 3.8L for ABS model.
The rationale is CKD.

I just hope they give us the ABS version, optional if not standard on all. I won't mind paying extra 20-25k when I pay Rs. 3L plus for a bike.

No way it will be 3-3.5l onroad. A z250 sans the fairing costs that much imported. And a rc390 costs 2.5 onroad, made in india. So it has to be near/more than ninja 300, unless ofcourse theyve made the bike in India.
R3 price in usa: $4990
Ninja 300 price in usa : $4799
Rc390 price in usa: $5499

If it's CKD then it won't be south of 3.4L Ex showroom, which will put it in the same price bracket as Ninja 300. I won't be surprised if its even higher.Comment

Let's not get too overboard with price expectations.. R3 is better spec-ed than the Ninja 300 everywhere, especially with standard ABS. It will be, in all likeness, a CKD as well.
