BMW MOTORRAD is opening it's showroom on 9th Feb in Pune. I will be on lookout for the bikes. I have already told my friend who will work there to tell me when the bikes arrive. He said the S1000RR will be here well before 9th. Others will follow.

gs has different suspension and seating.Originally posted by d_lonerider View PostHow different is BMW 310GS to BMW 310R? Did they work on suspension and seating position as well or its just stock 310R with a fairing?
though i would prefer a faired 310r without messing handling and good for road only touring.

I think the guy who is riding the bike is pretty big. If u see the official video the bike looks pretty neat. Yes I would agree the tail section is a turn off but again I am pretty sure there will be tail tiding which will be available soon

Any information from your friend about the G310R? And whether TVS will sell these bikes or shall it be exclusive to BMW outlets?
Thanks

Re: BMW's 313cc G310 R
And any information about the G310R? I sold off my 250R after keeping it for 5 years, wanted to get the D-390, but that would be a bit too extreme for commuting [for my usage] and wouldn't be used much as a weekend/touring bike, so wanted an all rounder. I am currently leaning towards the FZ-25 but if I got the G310R for under 3.5 or even 4, I would pay up.Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostThe opening got postponed

The Z-250 would have been nice but Kawasaki's spare & service is pretty far away. And I can consider the G310R only if TVS services the bike.
Thanks for quick response

Re: BMW's 313cc G310 R
There was a word from one of BMW's official social media page that the G310R would be launched in India in the first half of 2017. The GS is expected in the second half.
Pricing of the R is expected to be around 2.5lacs INR by many. Or maybe it has to be even competitive.
That market now has really competitively priced 2017 Dukes and Dominars etc.Last edited by i22; 02-23-2017, 04:24 PM.

Re: BMW's 313cc G310 R
I agree. Many people think that since its a BMW it would be priced at premium. In this case I don't think that would be true. With this small capacity bike BMW globally is eyeing numbers. For that they need to price it sensibly. It certainly may not be priced on par with the KTM probably because quality and reliability factor would be better. In India if they price it too high they would enter twin cylinder territory and kill the sales. They are targeting a price sensitive segment of buyers and they won't pay too much of a premium just for the brand. Those who are not sensitive to the price may anyway go for a twin cylinder or try for 500+ CC category.Ride swift, ride safe...
