The showroom in Pune is being prepared as we speak. Saw motorcycle crates too. If anyone from Pune wants to check out the place, head over to Suyog Platinum towers. Which is in lane just after Conrad hotel in Koregaon Park area, [behind Wadia college]. I guess the launch is pretty near.

Re: BMW's 313cc G310 R
Seems more like a marketing move to get the best sale numbers. Anyway, I hope they launch the GS version alongside the naked motorcycle. Also, the pricing has to be better than the competition for them to achieve some subsequent numbers.

Re: BMW's 313cc G310 R
Only reason I can think of for not launching the 310 "anytime soon" - there must be some problem with the bike.
BMW are entering this space for the first time and they don't want to spoil their name if there are quality or other issues.
Let's see, time will reveal everything

Lol. We Indians speculate a lot, sometimes for good and sometimes it's way way beyond the fact that it doesn't make sense.Originally posted by cyborgk View PostOnly reason I can think of for not launching the 310 "anytime soon" - there must be some problem with the bike.

Ok JS16, please let us have your thoughts why BMW would delay the launch if the bike is ready.
Its seems very probable a lot of people are waiting for the BMW launch to know the price among other factors and holding back on the KTM 390. These people would lose patience and buy/book the KTM.
It is a lose-lose situation for BMW by keeping on delaying the launch if the bike is ready.
Cheers

It takes time to follow up, tie up and then open dealerships. They train those personnel.
Also don't forget this is not the only thing they have to do, includes several other things as well.Last edited by JS16; 03-17-2017, 11:43 AM.

If what you say is true then it casts BMW in a very poor light.Originally posted by JS16 View PostWhere will they sell the bmw from?

It shows they have no organizing capabilities at all, to have a bike ready for launch and not to have planned the other obvious bits (showroom, sales, service etc.)
If what you say is true then what about the rumors that BMW is launching their showrooms by April 2017 only for 800 cc and above bikes in their portfolio. I think this news was on this thread itself a few posts back. This would mean they have the infrastructure in place only mysteriously delaying the G310R for no apparent reason.
Cheers

Infrastructure and defective products are two very different things. No buddy?Originally posted by cyborgk View PostIf what you say is true then it casts BMW in a very poor light.
