    Nothing comes close to 2017 KTM Duke 390 in terms of raw power to weight ratio however I am sure bmw 310r will be of better quality than Duke in term of fit and finish and it will not have initial teething issues like Duke 390

      Finally, it has been confirmed by TVS, the G310R will not be launched in the Indian market. It will only be manufactured and exported to other parts of the world at the moment

      So, an end to all the hues and cries regarding its launch.

            Yes. This statement comes from Vikram Pawah, Head, BMW India. In an interview with TOI, Mr Pawah confirmed that the G310R will not be launched in India in 2017.

              Remember our old discussions about what badge the G310R will use i.e., if it will be slapped with a TVS or will it retain the BMW badge? It looks like BMW will let Akula take over the Indian market since it is in essentially a G310R while the will export the actual G310R outside India.

                So we have to wait till next year for its launch? What the point of all the testing being carried out. Very dissapointed with BMW if this is the scene before launching I can only guess what will happen after launch and after sales service. BMW has dissapointed Indian fans

                  I don't remember seeing any statement from BMW of an Indian G310 launch promise and then backing off. If you have been misled by our Indian auto websites speculating 24*7*365 about its possible launch, it's not BMW s fault.

                    Yes that's true but BMW has been delaying the lauch since last year . it has been sent to every other corner of the world but it is not available where it is manufactured .i saw the bike here in UK as well. Why this delay then?

                        If so they should've launched Akula alredy or atleast later this year. I dont think their partner will let that happen before the 310 launch. Even the 200 FI hasn't launched yet, if im right. Had it been a better partner with better network, things would have been a lil faster i suppose. Now its more or less clear that the lauch is not gonna happen this year
                        And is the European sales really in full swing? Yet to see any owners reviews or mods apart from test rides and auto journos in youtube.

                          What bmw is talking about here is the G310r. Do not get confused with the apache 310 (akula) that will be launching in 2017 asap hopefully.
