G310R delayed by a mile now. May not make it to the showrooms as quickly as even speculated by the websites.

The reason is very silly, unfortunately cannot disclose much. But trust me it's like two kids fighting over a lollipop.

Don't know. BMW and TVS were keeping a separation within their products in the auto expo. No?

According to Navnit Motors,Worli the BMW G310r will be launched around Sep-Oct 2017. Delayed launch is due to export demand being on the higher side. And secondly the G310r is having some gearbox issues (Source : Youtube) . Pricing somewhere to be around 2.25 - 2.75 lacs. The Duke 390 2017 is a steal for it's price. BMW will have to price this baby very aptly to capture the 300-400c segment.

As you all know, the launch of G310R in India is delayed but even though here in Europe it was launched last October, it hit the showrooms only last week. So the delay was not just for India. The G310GS has still not made it to showrooms here and they dont have any idea when it would.

I test rode the 310R today and it feels good to ride, smooth, easy and nimble. As for quality, its as good as any other BMW so TVS has done a very good job. I will make a longer review video talking about the bike but here is a short one to show how it sounds like If you have any questions about the bike, I will be happy to answer.

As for pricing, here the 310R costs 4950 while the new Duke 390 costs 5450 so its 500 euros cheaper. Since the new 390 in India costs 2.25L (ex showroom Delhi) I think it would be safe to assume the 310R would be around 2.1L Atleast, it should not be more than 2.25L if they want to capture the Indian market which is much more significant in numbers than European market for a bike like this! The battle in 200-400cc segment is certainly heating up!

Good initial impressions video mate. Loved the exhaust note of this baby BMW! Pricing it below Rs.3 lakhs OTR, this is gonna rock the sales I guess just for the quality.

I am quite familiar with those roads now and we Indians dont need any training for lane splitting Actually lane splitting on that road is a bit of a gray area but everybody does it. On roads with two or more lanes on each side, Belgian govt themselves recommend lane splitting when traffic speed is less than 50kmph.
