Re: BMW's 313cc G310 R
The bike is taking too long to see the daylight. BMW had ample time to make sure KTM doesnt hit with their 2017 lineup first. But KTM did it. Even yamaha launched FZ25 which I feel is going to be another hit.
I was really waiting for this bike since one yearYamaha RX135 (1998) - Stolen
Yamaha R15 V2 - Composure redefined
KTM Duke 390 2017

Lol!! Very True. Even today i see a lot of BMWs , Mercs with logos missing. The bike logos would be an easy target.Originally posted by funkyfreak View PostWhenever this bike is launched in India the owners will have to be really careful about the logo theft.

Since you have a budget of upto 4 lakh, might as well get the R3, which is probably the best bike south of 4 lakh. Doubt if the G310r with a single cylinder would be as refined as the R3, unless of course you want the BMW brand.Originally posted by sheelpriye View PostAnd any information about the G310R? I sold off my 250R after keeping it for 5 years, wanted to get the D-390, but that would be a bit too extreme for commuting [for my usage] and wouldn't be used much as a weekend/touring bike, so wanted an all rounder. I am currently leaning towards the FZ-25 but if I got the G310R for under 3.5 or even 4, I would pay up.
The Z-250 would have been nice but Kawasaki's spare & service is pretty far away. And I can consider the G310R only if TVS services the bike.
Thanks for quick response

Re: BMW's 313cc G310 R
I just hope that this news comes out to be true... enough of this waiting shit.
There has been a lot of eagerness and anticipation surrounding the imminent official arrival of BMW Motorrad to Indian shores. There have been a few hiccups in the Bavarian brand’s entry to our country which have done nothing to dampen the BMW fans’ enthusiasm. This is clearly evident by the amount of inquiries we are …

Well, why not spend 50k more and get a 600cc Kawasaki ER-6n ?Originally posted by ZZR1 View PostSince you have a budget of upto 4 lakh, might as well get the R3, which is probably the best bike south of 4 lakh. Agreed.Originally posted by tanishq View PostAs for now 390 is king of the hill... No doubt abt it.
Have to see after the first batches get delivered and people use them. Lets hope no issues pop up like with the first batch of the 390's in the earlier model.
Time will tell though whether this or the BMW 310 gives a hassle free ownership, that's the main thing.
I will be waiting till October 2017 before making my purchase of either bike.
Cheers
