No Test rides available as of now.
The seating position is quite comfortable only thing is mirrors are very small.

IMO Yamaha is acting too pricey with FZ 25 . Over confidence perhaps ...I was keen & had high hope but lack of ABS is deal breaker . More so when govt regulations are forcing OEM's to offer ABS as standard .

Is Yamaha using india as a dumping yard ... history seems so....

              why is it overpriced?

rtr200 wih fi and pirelli is some 1.7 lac ex. price hike of 15k is justified imo just looking at engine specs.

lack of abs is a valid concern. to me it seems to be best value bike in market right now along with dominar. Yamaha build quality and good service has to hold some value.

Apologies for using "Pricey" . I was mainly referring to bikes availability in general even after 1 month of launch .

no need to apologise. yes yamaha is taking its time. looks like they weren't ready for launch yet.

looks like all manufacturers have sit down and created a time table for hype inducing launches every month. yamaha had the slot and they had to do it.

The top spec Apache 200 when launched will not cross 1.45L OTR. That is at par with the Fz25. Clearly, the TVS product will be far more VFM with ABS, Pirelli tyres, better console, better KYB suspension. The 2 BHP advantage that the Fz25 has does not tip the balance in its favour, IMHO.

ergonomics of apache? yamaha gets them on the spot. they are more refined products overall in every aspect.

overall i find yamaha bikes work like new over a period of 5-6 yrs of ownership. after that some parts change, max 10 k investment and voila. its great again.

overall i would say the points you mentioned look good on paper but in real world riding have little impact except abs and tires. for tires yamaha has mrf which will be marginally worse. not big difference.

also its 50 cc, more torque low down in rev range. if they produced it at higher rpm, difference wouldve been 5 bhp easily.

You forgot to mention torque and Yamaha usp i.e. quality, fit & finish, tried & tested 250cc engine, handling, LED headlamp, hassle free fuel injection (I remember TVS's last fuel injected apache was a flop and later discontinued due to some issues)
                        sigpic
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith and use up a lot of fuel....

Will this time.. they are exporting huge units in other countries.. & so far there is no complaints abt the rtr200.. fit & finish of the bike is equally good as japs & there is almost no vibe in the bike.. so i guess as par vfm rtr200 is ahead of fZ-250.
