The front mudguard looks great and the winglet is a novelty. The headlamp needs to be bigger, more aggressive; it looks like it was designed by Yamaha's in-house eunuch who kept pestering HR for a meaningful contribution to the company.

Does this come with a temp gauge?

went to test ride. couldn't get it. all 8 bikes already moved in a day. there was last piece left which was getting billed as i reached showroom. at least i got a chance to sit on it.

this looks like rtr 200 type case where its very hard to get test ride. also showroom guy said he would ve given test ride if its owner was not already come it pick it up. looks like all showrooms give test rides on someone else's bike. happened to me with bajaj, ktm now yamaha.

now coming to bike. it looks big just like dominar. not as dense but proportions look similar. build quality looked as good as dominar. ppl expecting r3 level almost luxurious build will be disappointed. for me it was very good. ergonomics wise it feels even better than fz16. you sit very securely. feel like sitting into bike cause large tank. comfy i felt.

When I went to purchase my first bike I also had SS125 in my buy list. I asked for a test ride and the showroom guys told that "SAAR No bikes have come for servicing other wise we would have given you for test ride"

I feel Yamaha is not at all interested in media rides. Deliveries have started and still there are no reviews what so ever.

Manufacturers keep secrecy before launch of their bike/car but this one is being kept secret after the launch. Is Yamaha really interested in selling this?

I had a small test ride of this bike. Initial punch is as similar as the CBR-250R and rest of the things are pretty similar to what the FZ-150 has, which is very good in my view. Assured & sure footed handling, very good brakes, nice bassy exhuast [keeping in mind, it is a 250cc air cooled engine].

The R3's normal headlamps appear more powerful than this LED unit.

Is it a good replacement for the STD CBR 250 in your opinion?

The CBR is a superior motorcycle in almost every aspect. IMHO, the FZ would be a downgrade from it.

That's why I asked "replacement", bhai. You pay ₹40k+ extra for a radiator, some fairings, and a superior engine on the CBR 250.

But in the real world usage scenario, can the fz25 tour 1000+ kms a day? Can it take bad roads without parts falling off or rim damage? Can it last 5 years without much trouble?

If yes, then, practically speaking, Yamaha's got a winner. The Fz 25 would be a good choice for those whose budget is below 2 lakh.

CBR 250 is almost 55k more expensive than FZ25 if you will consider on road prices of both the bikes.

No, Naveen I did not. Summary of my post was if the Fz 25 can do the above, there is no need to pay ₹40-50k extra for the CBR 250 keeping in mind the budget customer.
