yamaha will have to completely redo r3 for that and make is track monster like r15 version 3. it won't remain a road and touring friendly sportbike then. i like r3 the way it is right now.Originally posted by babybiker125 View PostGuys what could happen if Yamaha relaunches the r3 with the same perimeter frame as in the r15 along with usd forks? How much will be the price increase?
also price will be unjustifiable. in my opinion ppl expecting r15 version 3 launch in India i think are in for a surprise. its already on expensive side. a price hike of 10-20k will make it hard to sell. also look at hype dominar created just cause price. i dont think India is kind of market to pay such premium for 150cc bike even if cutting edge technology is used.

But if they actually do all that and price it around 4 lacs then it will be even more popular right? Since at 3.8 lacs it offers even less goodies than its younger brother the r15.Originally posted by VaibhavPisal View Postyamaha will have to completely redo r3 for that and make is track monster like r15 version 3. it won't remain a road and touring friendly sportbike then. i like r3 the way it is right now.

R3 is more like sports tourer and R15 is considered as track machine. No way it can cost at around 4L with Upside forks and deltabox frame. In states like Kerala R3 OTR price is 4L+.Originally posted by babybiker125 View PostBut if they actually do all that and price it around 4 lacs then it will be even more popular right? Re: Yamaha FZ 25 launched at RS 119500/-
went to take a test ride. bike was not available so test rode fz16 instead. must say am impressed with tiny little bike that fz16 is.
if 16 is anything to go by, i would say ergonomics are far more well developed and mature on it than pulsar ns/rs or apache rtr 200.
it just felt right when i mounted it. same feeling i got when i sat on dominar.
ns in comparison have you seated a bit closer to handlebar. then it has a heavy feel to bars and since you are sitting close, difficult to leverage and move it in bumper to bumper traffic. did not rode rs but sitting on it, felt was more upright than even dominar. no idea what kind of front end feedback i will get.
rtr 200 has my raised pegs as if making riding rider uncomfortable automatically increases racing credentials. i dont see benefits of raised pegs and i enjoy sport riding best when am feeling comfortable in supersport riding position of my r15.
compare this to fz16 or dominar, i could instantly feel upright seating postion and rear tire through seat. dragging rear tire is rather easy cause feedback is good. it does not have front end feedback but thats what keeps you comfortable.
overall i favour dominar and fz25 (given its as refined as fz16) over ns/rtr just cause more work is done by companies to make ergo feel natural and on the spot. i see value in that and willing to pay more for it.
