I have a feeling that it might be short geared to give that initial punch.Originally posted by TheArcher84 View Postsigpic

Sure bro..!! I read it somewhere, so have been here to clear my thoughts.!! [emoji4]Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostThis is a bike which Yamaha is manufacturing here in India. Its not i-phone 4 or 4S. Use right words because these type of words can hurt sentiments of people like me who are Yamaha fanboys

The R15 is a different class of motorcycles. Despite being around for 8 + years, it still is a more advanced product than the Fz25. And I wouldn't be surprised if the performance levels are comparable too, despite the '100' cc difference. I've actually seen the R15 smoke some of the available 200s in the market. The gearing on that is great too with the additional 6th on it providing excellent highway cruising capability.Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostInquired today about the OTR in Chennai, its close to 140000, R15 costs a tad less than that. Wondering how much tech stuffs has gone into a 150cc mill compared to a 250cc. With people who tries to take more VFM (considering the price for the CC), they may jump to the 250 mill. Mileage figures might be around 35-40, considering the amoubt of power it generates for a 250 mill and its not short geared like the R15 either.
The Fz25 though, will no doubt prove to be a simple, reliable, street oriented motorcycle just like the smaller FZS.

India is a market where more 90% of motorcycles are still air-cooled. I agree it is an age old technology but it is cost effective at the same time.Originally posted by abhishek_jain View PostSure bro..!! I read it somewhere, so have been here to clear my thoughts.!! [emoji4]sigpic

No offense, but still i feel the price is little bit on higher side considering it is a localized produced and the competitors they offer ( NS/RTR - with 4V).Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostIndia is a market where more 90% of motorcycles are still air-cooled. Tech wise this is not so different than ZMR.

Can you please mention which 200 it smokes it has a only advantage and that's its aerodynamicsOriginally posted by ALI.R View PostThe R15 is a different class of motorcycles. FZ 25' advantages over ZMR:Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostNo offense, but still i feel the price is little bit on higher side considering it is a localized produced and the competitors they offer ( NS/RTR - with 4V).
Tech wise this is not so different than ZMR.
1> Much better and bigger tires.
2> More power and torque
3> Better chassis which means better handling
4> Mono shock suspension.
5> Less weight
6> LED headlamp
7> Much smoother engine. (Ist gen zmr was a gem but current gen zmr spoiled the party with so many issues and problem)
PS: I am a huge fan of original karizma. Hero should launch it again with fuel injection and better tires priced at 95k ex-showroom. I am sure original karizma can still pull better sales than those plasticky new karizma twins.sigpic

What about the deltabox frame? Superior engine with Nikasil coated pistons? Gearing? Weight distribution, better brakes? Those don't count as advantages? Engineering wise, the R15 is a superior product.Originally posted by snoufaltariq View PostCan you please mention which 200 it smokes it has a only advantage and that's its aerodynamics
And in capable hands, I've seen the R15 outpace the NS 200, the RTR 200 as well and the Pulsar 220. A 150cc hitting a top whack of 140kmph is not to be scorned at too.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 launched at RS 119500/-
It cannot outpace a NS200 I am certain of that ns is way more powerful than R15 I've lived with a R15 for a year. My friends have NS200. Can't even keep up with them. But the top speed I agree with you.But reliability wise YAMAHAS shadows BAJAJOriginally posted by ALI.R View PostWhat about the deltabox frame? Superior engine with Nikasil coated pistons? Gearing? I don't like the vibrations it produces after 5000rpm and the way it sounds after 40-50 mins of high speed riding.Originally posted by snoufaltariq View PostYou mistake me i think have you ever driven a 200 NSsigpic

PS: My 4 year old SZ-R is much more smoother than my friend's 2 year old NS200You mistake me i think have you ever driven a 200 NS
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
I am sure the definition of performance is much different for both of usOriginally posted by snoufaltariq View PostAgree with you brother.Build quality is also a bummer but the performance NS200 gives Is a bang for every buck you spend i think If I'm please correct me don't hesitatesigpic
