On the contrary- a 4K increase should accommodate these sensor. For one, now I think the UGIV shares the same BCU as 220, which had DC electrical.Yes, the air filter choked sensor, engine overheat temperature sensor and the battery low sensor are all essential. But given the price of the 180 UG4, i doubt that they would have it.
UG3's console already had these symbols, but not activated. Putting in these sensor should not be big deal.
Look it this way - UGIV 180 just, approx 4K INR less than 200, without a 200's engine and Oil Cooler!Last edited by rahuldevnath; 05-27-2009, 12:00 PM.Been There, Done That; Better!

Nops, 1 ps is slightly lesser than 1 bhp....!
17.02 ps would come out close to 16.8-16.9 bhp..
Ther is a formula for ps to bhp conversion...which I forgot....!
May be somebody else can give us the exact formula
I have one question....
the UG3 version of p180 produced power equal to 16.5bhp.....
and this one produces something close to 16.8-16.9bhp...(17.02ps) than y is everybody saying it produces 1 bhp (or 1 ps) more than the earlier version...?
\
as the zigwheels figures quote it to be 17.02 ps...!2002 - Pulsar 150 Classic (Still owned)
2005 - Pulsar 150 Dtsi (Still owned)
2006 - Eterno (sold)
2008 - Dio (Owned)
2009 - Pulsar 220 DTSi

It's just the different system in use. If i'm not wrong, Ps is German whereas BHP is British??
In India at least , all the 2 wheelers are quoted in Ps. (In recent times 4 wheelers as well)
P180 UGIII makes a power of 16.7Ps compared to 17.02 Ps of UGIV.
The fact that from 16Ps to 17Ps seems to be a good jump.
As a buyer which effects you more an incrase from 17.034 bhp to 17.9 bhp ror 16.X Ps to 17.x Ps?

just came back after testdriving the new ug4 P180...
Just one word to describe it..... "AWESOME"
I appreciate the engineers in Bajaj for such a job well done... The bike is super smooth with gears falling into right places... no misshifts and great stability..
I'm a person of 5'10 with mere 58kg's and the guy who sat with me as pillion was a giant weighing around 110kg(guess) from the showroom.. and still the bike felt very stable..
It was a short ride so couldn't build up much revs in city traffic but by the experience of that short ride was enough for me to say this bike is COOL..
Wish I could ride it more but I won't buy it.
because
Also they said the new P200Fi will hit showrooms by august.. Hmm let me see if there is some more exciting products on offer by that time from other stables too
