The Ninja used in the comparison is the crbed one, the one we get in India is the FI one, so the few shortcomings like low end torque & cold starts are addressed with the FI & also improvement in mileage.Performance too should be up over the carbed one.
I wonder why Baja has'nt considered the carbed version of the nInja for India it should be abt 50-70k cheaper than the FI Ninja.

Tuning a high performance carb engine requires lot of knowledge and skill. I'm at peace with the FI model.... if the ninja was a 2 stroke carb then i'd kill for it.Originally posted by rohitraghavan View PostI wonder why Baja has'nt considered the carbed version of the nInja for India it should be abt 50-70k cheaper than the FI Ninja.

Now i'm thinking as a potential customer but also an biking enthusiast... i would definitely prefer the ninja cause of its proven value, performance. moreover its a multi cylinder vehicle, i personally feel that it should not be compared to the cbr. as i'm already having an 220 cc single cylinder i would like to graduate to a multi cylinder oneOriginally posted by rohitraghavan View PostHmmm. I think from a cost point of view would have made a lot of sense. But like you said nothing matches the FI version.
Price of the CBR 250R Bangalore is 1,80,000(Non ABS) & 2,05,000 (ABS). Seems good value for money. Lets see how it compares with the rest in the segment (ZMR, P220).
. So i would prefer riding the 220 for some more time and buy the ninja when i have enough cash.
Though sales wise it is almost sure to eat into the sales of ninja,i also wish it does so that Bajaj will thnk about pricing it aggressively on par to the cbr.
.
Note: Its a purely personal opinion, may vary for each person. No offense meant to anyone or about the cbr 250.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

??? Are you serious? Its priced 1.5L & 1.8L at both Mumbai & Chennai. How come its 1.8 & 2.05L in BLR alone? If it were true, damn HMSI!!!

Oh!!! But still, don't you think 30K over the ex-showroom is too much? That's nearly the price when you take a small car isn't it?Originally posted by trojan View PostAargee, I believe what he mentioned is on road price for both the variants and what you mentioned is ex-showrooms

Well said!Originally posted by n_aditya View PostWell said Aargee. I wonder why some people are feeling so.

Be it a CBR 250 or a CBR 1000RR it's fun to ride these machines. Anyone is welcome to ride with us, so if one feels that our rides are exclusive to ninja's only, then its not so.
