  • Saw the bike for real last night. It's so much smaller and sharper-looking than I thought. But still at 220 kgs. I have no idea how Nik manages to ride that thing hard. That must need some serious talent and balls.
Who needs more than 70 bhp when you don't need to slow down for the corners?

Nikhil, fill in fuel with the octane rating as mentioned in the owners manual.

Fuels with higher octane rating are recommended for high compression motorcycles, besides I think in India, 91 Octane fuel is available only as a premium fuel(fuel with some additives but the octane rating is 91).

Pretty sure that normal/unleaded petrol in India is not 91 octane.

Shell Regular petrol is 91 Octane and the Premium Shell petrol is also 91 Octane with added additives.

My suggestion is to stick to Shell as the quality and quantity of petrol you get will be better than the other brands mentioned.

BSIII petrol from IOC is 91 Octane and BSIV is 91/95 octane

Check what grade (BSIII or BSIV) is sold in your city. I guess all metro's are directed to sell only BSIV unleaded petrol.

                  • Wow, your bike like smashing in white! Congratulations on a very sensible SBK purchase. One question, I noticed you havent put a number plate up front and the number is on your mud guard. Is that allowed in Pune?

                            • Hi Nikhil, Congrats bro. The bike looks hot. specially the man machine combo with this one is great.

I have also booked the FZ1, and that too exactly on March 10th . It was gettin way delayed than expected.

And finally after a long wait, my machine has arrived. A few snaps of it.
