the o'11 model and 2010 model is the same. I hope u meant 2012 model. and I hope they never put that cross plane engine in it which is going to be removed from the R1 lineup too.

It did not stir up the market and people complain about the vibes. I read this "rumour" somewhere that 2012 R1 will be completely new and wont have a crossplane crankshaft engine

Performance update

Updates after I did two rides. One was to lavasa in the night with Pillion. The other was to Mahabaleshwar , with Pillion.

FE is staying above 19 kmpl. Pillion is comfortable with a Bag (DSLR cam bag,decent sized back pack) in between us. In the soft suspension setting , bike is very comfortable through bad patches too.

The bike is very much enjoyable at rpms 4-6k. It goes fast and in a controlled way.

Bike is going for servicing tomorrow. Will update the thread after its done.

Lets see, anyways, there is already one which has beaten S1000RR.. Finally the king had been dethroned.. and the one to dethrone it is None other than Aprilia RSV4 factory...

I am not sure if yamaha can beat the BMW's or not.. but certainly they will try everything like Kawasaki did with their lethal weapon ZX10R, but Alas they couldn't beat the S1000RR..( Mind you it was just by a whisker of second that BMW won..)

Too bad that the crossplane is going to go.Yamaha did not even give it a better development phase either.No form of major tuning or improvements were made during the years it has been there.I am pretty sure if they wanted to they could remove those vibes and improve further.Afterall it is used in moto gp.Hope the new one will be a screamer.I am pretty sure they will come up with a TC and ABS system,atleast thats the new big thing going around in the industry.

Aprilia RSV4 factory costs a bomb compared to BMW.Thats the only downer.No matter what every superbike is special in its own ways.
