A few pics from todays ride. The speed 97 fuel didn't make much of a difference. I am going to stick to regular fuel only .

the foot pegs arent great more over the fz1 doesn't ve very good rake angle so the foot pegs are bound to break off in track...

Great pictures. The white does look good. I have a long list of to do's on my motorcycle. After this exhaust comes the PC3 change and then flies.

Attached a small video with the new suono. I still feel the video does not do it justice. Has to heard in real to appreciate it.

I also attaching a picture from my ride with my wife in the mountains here. The mountains are beautiful. hmmm do not know how to embed it. Could not find the url to the picture on flickr.

sounds nice...is it a full system or a slip on? and did u remove the db killer???

hey niks congrats on your bike..

i too ve booked the fz1 (white). unfortunately they ve asked me to wait for this colour
few questions:
1) have u touched speeds above 200kmph? if so how is the wind blast??? is it managable?
2) is shell super recomended? how r u following it up?
3) have u owned any other sbks before? do u feel contented with the power?
4) are u planning for any mods?
5) should we worry about getting the radiator mesh??? cause i ve heard the mechanics say tat regular riding/touring can damage it, as it is completely exposed!!!!!!!!!!
6) how s the clutch doing?? i mean is it smooth? i felt it was a little hard though!!! when u ride in traffic does your fingers hurt????
7) the bike is about 215 kilos.. are u finding any difficulty in handling it???

You might be aware of the case that Rossiter had.. He put the regular fuel in his R1 and he had his 3rd valve replaced because it damaged it.. A pain which he will never forget..)..

Hi, small correction there: The 3rd valve stem replacement that happened on the R1 was not because of a fuel quality issue. Initially, we all thought it was a fuel issue, but it turned out to be a manufacturing defect.

This was replaced by Yamaha India under warranty (of course, after a lot of threats and pushing them). They would not have replaced it under warranty had it been a fuel issue.

Akhil : was yamaha providing warranty on the bike before u bought ?? because yamaha are not providing warranty in India were as in US and UK there is a 1 year warranty on the bike ! Why is this??

well the dealer here says only to go to the fuel station that u trust. ioc/shell/bp anything
but we must be aware of the bunks which give adulterated fuel

@diehard: Yamaha is still giving warranty on their bikes man. I got a 2 year, unlimited kilometres warranty, although it was never really clarified to me as to whether this pertains to only the engine and/or the cycle parts.

And any premium fuel is fine. Don't worry about it.

Well my bike is already here i went on saturday and checked it out will post pics later the rear wheel looks insane it huge ! ! tentative delivery is on thrusday.

Harish's bike will be delivered in about 25 days....... as promised by the dealer ! apparently there are 4 FZs in bangalore (including mine) and 4 more to come ! all booked with in the last 20 days !!

probably because yamaha has officially started promoting this bike in ads from March 2011 .
