@niks & diehard: me and my frens r going to be riding the bike on TR for atleast a month.. we looking for a special no. it isnt a problem the TR is valid for 1 month and beyond that u need to pay a fine (which is allowed for 3 months.. ie - u pay every month till 3 months from delivery). u do not need to take your bike anywhere for registration. just talk to ur dealer.
thanks for the warranty infoA BIKE ON THE ROAD IS WORTH TWO IN THE SHED

My Street Hawk is finally here !!
ok guys heres the biggie ! im finally a SUPERBIKER
couple of observations !
The bikes power is scary
It has a really really relaxed seating ! really comfortable !
Had a lot of people come up to me and just say that the sound is beautiful !!
This bike is not excatly ment for the bangalore 'Traffic" scene ! i had the temperature goin up to 103' C !!. But the fan kick in and all was good !
i initially rode it to a top of only 70kmph because:
A) Horrible bangalore traffic !! on a Friday evening !
B) i was shittin in my pants !! lol
The bike looks beautiful ! the pooja is done got the registration also done will get the number by monday !
Now the Restrictions !
This bike has come in a very difficult time for me have struggled to get acceptance of the family ( even after having the money) my grandmom is totally against it. so i have huge and i mean insane amount of restrictions on the bike so i dont know how ill run it in but i guess i will try my best
I realized im still not mature enough to ride a bike like this but i will learn to keep my cool ! the power is seriously addictive ! i mean the bike just wants to break free !
This is my first time on a superbike and my dream was to sit and ride my own bike and this has finally come true !

Here are a lot more pics : Enjoy !

Haha i love this pic ! "she" looks so cute doesnt she !

Thats me all stunned and confused

Mom cutting the ribbon off !

Finally i would like to thank Akhil ( Rossiter), Niks, harish and everyone on xbhp for helping me out, since im a noob at superbiking and want to seriously be level headed to ride the bike i look forward for your guidance !
PS: will try to give updates whenever im free since i have spent a bomb on this will have to work extra hard now lol.Last edited by diehard; 05-28-2011, 09:59 AM.sigpic

take your time getting acclimated to the bike.
you'll have all the time in the world to ride fast... later.
that'll happen... learn to ride safe first.
it's much more fun that way.
again... congrats! n ride safe!

Congrats Ankit !
The power is scary but later on you will know in which gears the power is manageable. I also used to think the same and 2 days back I was redlining the bike. did it twice in first and second gear.Originally posted by diehard View PostThe bikes power is scary

Still better than super sports which stay above 100. But yes it gets hot in bumper to bumper traffic and u start sweatingThis bike is not excatly ment for the bangalore 'Traffic" scene ! i had the temperature goin up to 103' C !!. But the fan kick in and all was good !

I was given an advice to ride the bike as mush as i can , more on straights and on twisties too. It gave me confidence as to how the bike will handle in which situation. Start riding it more to gain confidence.I realized im still not mature enough to ride a bike like this but i will learn to keep my cool ! the power is seriously addictive ! i mean the bike just wants to break free !sigpicThe Moto Cafe - India's first bike theme cafe @ Chandni Chowk

congrats ankit
awesome bike
u must ve a smile tat stretches all the way across ur face
and we r used to the traffic in b'lore
not to mention the roads
the temperature increase is common in all supersports and superbikes, may be a tiny bit more in a yamaha..
and we all were noobs before and may be we still are
but its all about respecting the machine and its power. always remember tat u got to get back home in one piece so ride safe and invest on your gear (most important)
its your passion that even during such difficult time u got your bike
dont worry soon the dust ll settle at home... bolo aaall izz well
