This is nothing to be inflamed about. Its quite true. As far as Hyosung is concerned, the paint quality or the fit and finish is nothing to be proud of.Originally posted by rajkamal_pol View Post______________________________________

Might have to correct you here ...Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostMate, you literally had me there
Here's my two cents. I mean, when you purchase a bike, the first thing we forget to do is, calculate what the after math expenses would be, which 90% of the people forget. Only after niggling issues and service issues we bear the real brunt.
That said, don't forget how we, desi's charge for each and every nuts and bolts, I need not explain on that, as you would probably know, coupled with arse burning VAT which is real pain the arse any day.
Now if you are griping for this. I'll tell you a real thing that happened to one of my buddy's friend in Blore. He totaled his Ninja 250R a year back, and the Ninja 250 say costs around close to 2.81 lakhs a new one that is. Now when he consulted his insurance firm for a damage claim with the help of the company, you have any idea how much his estimate for the entire bike just for the spares is? 4.6 lakhs, excluding VAT.
And I don't know if you know this, a chain sprocket set of Ninja 250 costs 18k and just a single indicator, not set, just single piece costs 750 odd bucks. Do you think it's okay for a 2.5 lakh bike?
Now if you do the math, you know, the bike, the manufacturer you got it, all equates to "comparatively cheap" if not the cheapest spares you can get for mid class bike bid against the investment you've made for your bike.
Cheers!
VJ
The chain plus the sprockets of N250R is only 11K! With the chain coming to 7K and 4K for both the sprockets.
The indicator is more costly at 1200 bucks a piece and the RVM is at 2200 bucks. So am not sure if Hyosung is actually cheaper here but for the correct comparison you might have to compare the price with a N650R rather.http://www.californiasuperbikeschoolindia.blogspot.com

The only good color quality in the GT series is 'Solid White'.Originally posted by nagoo View Posti heard that white and some dual tone colors are superior quality compared to full red and black ... is that true ??
It has a finish to it which looks similar to the busa white (Pearl white), which is very desirable.
Gives a good presence to the bike as well.
All other colours, whether it is solids or two-tone, are not that great of a finish.
Last time i referred a friend of mine to the dealer, they had hiked the prices of white (even though it is not a two-tone but only a solid colour) to a premium of Rs.20,000, which is commanded only by the two-tone versions. We were able to pull some strings and have it waived off.
but this is purely because of the escalating number of orders that were being received for the white colour choice.
I dont know if this price point is still the case but can check if needed.______________________________________

So what if the GT250R isn't Liquid cooled and has only Five gears. The bike is going to sell well here considering it's a twin cylinder 250cc with big bike looks aura.If they price it well around 2-2.2 Lacs, that bike will sell like HOT CAKES here!!

Hello fellow GT650R XBHPians,
Can you share your GT650 experience?
There is so much talked about quality.
But what I want to know is, how smooth are the engine and gear-shifts.
The way bike behaves in corners? Overall handling?
If there are any GT250R(imported in India) owners, a comparo with CBR250R will be great from you.
Am I asking a bit more here, huh?

Quality is good but not the best. The engine is a bit rough and vibey at higher revs but nothing much to be worried about.Gear shift is clunky and engaging the clutch requires a bit of a workout for the hand.
Straight line stability is fantastic and the bike jets forward like a missile, easily doing 140-150kmph on open highways. It's the slow speeds that the bike weight starts feeling heavy.Cornering is alright but isn't as flickable as you would expect.
