Happy Shopping. . Hey, how is the RPHA 10? Is it good for Indian weather conditions, specially ventilation at low speeds? I am looking for buying something similar.

RPHA 10 is a damn good helmet for the price. Mine is a lorenzo replica so it can be said a little overpriced though. I checked out Arai helmets when I went to PRS in Mumbai and I didn't really feel that Arai is better or anything (Pls don't shout at me for that, I really wanted to buy it). I wanted to buy a Arai but I couldn't as most of the Arai which were in stock were not fitting my head properly. But, I'm glad that I saved some money and bought this HJC instead. Online reviews also really recommend this helmet.

Once (and only once) I wore it without balaclava and I remember that I could feel some air on my forehead at low speeds. But, I always wear a balaclava so I don't feel much air a low speeds.

Thanks shadyabhi. Good ventilation and light weight are the prime factors I am looking out for, looks like RPHA meets my criteria.

@shadyabhi -- Hey, how long it took Revzilla to deliver your goods ? I have ordered RPHA 10 just today and was wondering how long it will take for the delivery in Seattle.

Was it "In Stock" when you ordered? If yes, I've ordered with them for a total of 4 times now (The List kept growing and growing ) and they don't take more than 3 business days. (Add additional 2 days If they don't have it in stock). For ex, if I order on Monday morning, i reaches me by Wednesday afternoon. I'm living at around 400 miles from Las Vegas and all the items have been shipped to me from that warehouse via UPS ground shipping.

PS: Good choice on the helmet. It's a good one..

Thanks mate. Yeah, it was "In Stock". I believe it should be delivered by Friday or Saturday as Seattle is bit further away. My bike is yet not delivered but I have started shopping and yes, list is growing here too day by day.

That's great. "Saturday" is a not a business day for UPS though. I'm sorry if I missed that but you never mentioned about the bike yet. Which model/color? When's the delivery? Congrats.

Street Triple. Most probably black. Delivery will be done some time next month, no confirmation yet.

Hi shadyabhi , i read the whole thread its just so cool. I love your beast by the way, i really want one . My suggestion to you is try filling up nitrogen in your bike tires because:

                    1) A tire filled with nitrogen retains optimal pressure longer.
                    2) Nitrogen is slightly lighter than air, it wont attack the rubber in your tires like oxygen does.
                    3) Nitrogen-filled tires stay's inflated longer than average in under normal condition.

Hence, nitrogen gas keeps the air pressure of the tyre at its limited extend, so as to get the durability of the tyre and the ride is extremely smooth!

                    Good luck, keep posting pictures

                    Cheers mate

I'm glad you enjoyed reading it. Sure, I'll try to fill Nitrogen next time.

Sorry for the long halt in the updates. I just reached India an hour ago & can't wait to go for a morning ride tomorrow. I've to break-in my new gear from US

Its okay. I'm waiting for your next update! How much did an alpinestar leather jacket cost you in US? And which model did you buy?

I was in an impression that Air contains 78% of nitrogen. I have not experienced any significant improvements after filling nitrogen in my car- a Getz CRDi. I felt its a waste of money.

                          Hi Shadyabhi,
I spoke to Keerthi Triumph couple of day's back and they are quoting an on-road price of 8.9L for street triple with normal comprehensive insurance (INR 16K). How much did you pay for zero dep insurance from Bharti Axa? I am planning to book one in a couple of month's time when i return to India

For vehicles with stiff suspension setup, there should be a significant difference. Nitrogen does not contract and expand like compressed air. I have a cbr 250r, there is a difference in ride quality, even though the cbr has a soft suspension setup. Same goes with my petrol swift.

I bought Alpinestars Atem Jacket. It's a full CE rated jacket, not just the armors. Apart from that, I bought GP Plus leather pants, SMX Plus boots & SP2 gloves. (All Astar)

I paid ₹9,13,045 in total, mostly because I booked it before the on-road price of the bike was announced in Bangalore & didn't really question the amount asked. Bharti AXA Normal was exactly ₹16,494 & with ND, it was ₹18,975.

Good to hear that you're considering buying one. Lets go for ride together sometime.

If i recall ex-showroom price was 7.75L in KA when launched and now its 7.58~. I guess they reduced prices after excise duty was reduced. Thanks for providing insurance quote.

Sure. It will be good to go on a ride with you. We can form a group for a group ride or a weekend ride
