I did not ask this question directly, but they said within the warranty period, they will take care of any problem that happens in the bike. Now even for their first service at 1000kms, they will be coming down to kolkata, and we wont be charged for their travel. Yes one thing is certain that after the warranty period, we will have to bear atleast some part of their travel.

Happened with me too bro, and now i love every second spent with the blade... actually the bike looks very attractive from this angle...

Thats a very good question..... I had never ridden a superbike in my life before the blade. The highest capacity bike that i rode before was Honda CB400 (400cc), during the two day training period.
Jonak had told me again and again, go easy on the throttle, go easy on the throttle, so i was very cautious.
Anyways first ride on the bike was a bit shakey, but the confidence grew exponentially, each time i ride, i feel better. Fireblade is an amazing bike to ride, once you get used to the riding posture, its better than riding a pulsar.
I mean i can dodge the kolkata road potholes/tram lines/humans/dogs/cars/busses/cops , as easily as I could on the pulsar.
The dimension/turning radius of the bike is more than pulsar, and thats the only difference.
Weight of the bike is more, but as long as you have balance, it does not matter.
On an ending note, I would say that those who say superbikes are difficult to handle, they have not yet ridden the BLADE...
May the torque be with you..

        • Wow, i like the confidence, no doubt that the current blade is the easiest of all litre class sport bikes, but thats it. This cant generalise the thing, superbikes are still not easy to ride. Here i would like quote deputy editor of Bike India Mr. Amit Chhangani "The kawasaki ZX 10 R even with more power, is an average rider's nightmare. It will murder kids, cripple amateurs, and make seasoned blokes hang on hard for dear life". And mind you those seasoned blokes will sell their soul for a bike with such strong character which current blade seems to lack.

"Too focussed on its function to have a character to fall for."-Mr. Amit Chhangani.

PS: I like the way this guy writes, unfortunately he is going off board from Bike india. I hope he will be around.

Well that the Ninja ZX10R for you. Its one mental bike !! Suffers no fools !! Even seasoned riders in UK that I had talked to always spoke in awe on the Ninja !!

            • ^^I just used the ninja as an example to put my point across. What i want to convey is that current blade or previous one riding a superbike cant be termed as easy. And it was a little premature on the part of Vishal to make such an statement as i am sure he might not have experiencd more than 5 or 10 % of Blade's capability. As a matter of fact he might not be able to so ever.
This last statement of mine can easily be generalize as this will be the case with most of us.

I understand. I just used tat oppertunity to lay bare how insanely crazy I am bout the Ninja.

I totally agree to that ! its no way a generalization !! Its strictly related to my experience with the Fireblade.

Yes its not easy, 1000 CCs, 160 + bhp .... everything. As i said, i am as old in the world of superbikes as my blade. But from whatever i know, its fun to ride the blade, wherever , whenever !

                        • I 2nd what Bandhav says.

And also kinda agree with FireBlah. The thing with Hondas is.....you cant go wrong. Hondas will never catch you off guard. I havent ridden the fireblade, but i have ridden the lil brother 600RR. The engines on Hondas feel like electric motors.....so damn smooth...that having ridden Gixxer 600 and my own R6, it feels wierd. Its very easy to screw up riding an R6 or the Gixxer. But on the CBR its just plain easy. It will never ever catch you off guard. As far as the Fireblade goes, it apparently is the smallest liter class bike out there and feels like a 600. It seems to have won every superbike shoot out.
You cant help not going in for a Honda.

The idea of a SuperSport or a Superbike in my mind was of this awesome angry and ruthless machine. You know....kinda like a beast....and that is exactly what the Ninjas the R1s and the Gixxers dilever......you feel challenged...intimidated by how menacing they look.....the exhaust note gives you a glimpse of the fury within....
All this is on ample display with the Yamahas, the Suzukis and the Kawasakis......the hondas just decide to conceal all that.

I remember, when i first rode my buddies 600RR....i was taken aback by how easy....smooth and friendly it seemed. It did everything my R6 did, without making a big deal out of it.Kinda like Sachin in Sharjha.....you twist the throttle....and he freaking charges a pace bowler and hits him down the ground for a 6...and then looks around as if saying "WHAT?"

My point is.....Hondas are probably easier to ride for sure.....but that doesnt hold good for all superbikes/supersports.
As for me, i would rather go for the angry, raging character of the other 3 Japs even though the Hondas can do everything the other bikes do....better if not as good. It takes time to get accoustomed to the character various bikes exibit.....it just takes a lil less time on a Honda.

P.S - for some reason i think i just ranted randomly. Cant help it man....i just dig this forum so much and cant help but share my thoughts on SBKs.

                          Peace out brothers....ride safe...

LOL i like the way you have tried to explain how the 600 rr does things with the way sachin smashed bowlers in sharjah & both behave like "What"?

                              A very fair statement...

Having owned a CBR1100xx SuperBlackbird in past, when I only had ridden a CBZ & Karizma for 4 odd years prior to it... I can as easily say that Honda's are plain easy to get familiar with as I was having fun with it in Delhi's frustrating traffic in a weeks time. I mean you can embarrass a dude on a 150cc bike weighing 150 kgs in packed traffic, while ur CBR1100 would be approx 230 kg.. while u go zig-zag & he's trying to catch up... speeds.. 30, 40, 50, max 60 kmph (no speed edge over a smaller bike in traffic)!!! Its that easy..

I had ZMA when i bought CBR1100, so i have ridden them both back to back many times, the weight difference was there & so was power but the CBRs power delivery was similar to the ZMA, very progressive.. no hickups. Me & my bro Sachin (Satellite Kid) would ride together in city many times & swap bikes.. not to make each other jealous ...

                              It's my share of experience!

Congrats fireblah for you new bike.. don't lock ur handle while taking a U-turn on the blade.. i almost dropped my CBR once.. damn it was 230 kg heavy to drop but ultra-light to ride.
