Yes it is taking a bit of time but that is expected as I myself was busy with the purchase of my new car.
But the first cost of anti rust on the parts and frame are done and the primer work will begin today in the evening and go on for a couple of days.
Its all done by hand completely to get a good finish so can't expect them to hurry ir they'll ruin the job.
Will check on it tomorrow and post some pics.

Thanx mate. Its a VW polo high line. I'll post a few pics on the cars thread after the pooja.
In other news I'll post a few pics tonight of my bike. The process is finally moving albeit at a snail's pace (cost of quality I guess).

Its always nice to cherish old moments. Those pics you have posted brought my memories of Rx seeing them when I was at school. Dreamed big time. Fell ib love just for its quick fire.

I see a Vespa NV too in the pic - nostalgic for me. We had one and I used the same for getting my driving license
We had a Chetak before but loved the Vespa more!

Yeah the vespa very recently was scrapped. The vespa was used until early this year and was in an unsalvageable condition until it finally literally folded up and died. I wish I had taken pics but I saw it too late to save it.
Still those are good memories. I have another picture with an original ckd kinetic Honda from 1988 next to mu bike, belonged to a family friend also. I'll see if I can find it.

                        Hi,

I am new to this thread, i planning to restore my RX 100. i want to know the following details.

                        1. Is there a mikuni carburetor for RX 100?
                        2. Local mechanics say there are imported clutch for 7000 (in chennai) which can increase the performance ?
                        3. what is the use of quick throttle? and it is really worth it
                        4. Is there something called brass core (muffler) for silencer
                        5. Brass bend pipe for exhaust (custom made in lathe) will produce good amount of beat (sound)?

Is there any other modifications you can suggestions for getting RX100 for race ready?

                        Thanks!

Ok bro listen, there is no fancy clutch available for Rx 100s.
The brass bend pipe and brass muffler are a scam (trust me, a guy once said he'd get me brass springs for my RE clutch and I laughed my ass off), the normal bend pipe and muffler if thoroughly cleaned and properly fitted will produce better beat. Or else go for rx100 pipe and 135 muffler to get the bike nice and loud.
The quick throttle is good if you're into circuit racing and stunt riding as it most of the time has a throttle lock setting. But if you want your bike to last at least untill you recover the money you spent on it, then don't unnecessarily mod it. The quick throttle is not meant for bikes with autolube system.
Mikuni carbs are near impossible to find. But maybe you can get it as new old stock from UK. Though it might be just one size bigger since they're from the bigger European Rx model.
Porting can be done to increase power, or you can plonk in a Rx 135 crank, piston and carb. You can play with the sprocketing.
                          Hope this helps cheers.

                            Its finally time for assembly..................

The total paint work is costing me 7000/- only for which I have gotten the frame, tank, side covers, swingarm, bits and bobs all painted and I am also getting the tank anti-rust coated on the inside within that amount. All spares have been collected and fitting of all rubber parts onto the frame has started. The chrome job has started and will be finished by Monday and will only cost me 400/- for everything chrome minus the silencer which will be polished.

                            Now for some pics.......................

Bro nice update and the cost of painting is including sticker and monogram are u doing a clear after the graphics?? Mine also cost almost the same 6500/- but i have forgot to do the anti corrosive coating 😕but i checked with the painter he says maintain half tank always no need to worry about the rust. Btw mine stickering cost is 650 above the paint cost i know this is expensive a bit but due to auto charge ( logistics from painted to sticker shop 20km 1 side) in chennai its become expensive 😆😆

This is coming up very good man so happy to see ur bike getting assembled better first to have the wheels tyres ready and assemble the fork make the bike stand on them and then assemble the mudgaurd if not u will spoil the crome in the edges as this will lead to rust and moreover thats the place where generaly during rains the dirt+ mud with water gets mixed up and fly from ur tyre to that corner.

We are eagerly awaiting your tank and shiled 😍
