^^ you need to change all nuts bolts. You can go thru the RX100 service manual for a list of main nuts and bolts that are there ( because the torque is specified ).

Start it off like this -

    - Engine screw kit ( covers on both sides )
    - Cylinder nut and dowel rod ( the bolt that goes inside the crankcase to hold the cylinder ).
    - Head bolt and nuts + washers.
    - Exhaust dowel rod and nut

Actually dowel rod is incorrect statement... its a bolt without a head and threaded on both sides.

    - Reed valve rubber mount bolts. ( use allen bolts for this ).
    - Engine mount nuts and bolts.

Once these are sorted, you can then start from the front to the back... ie, front axle and nut, Mudguard bolts, front Handle T nut, handlebar mounting bolts, etc etc..

Also when you dismantled your bike.. you would have collected a number of bolts. They will be an easy reference too.

For my RXZ i bought about 20-40 of the following -

    - 1/2 inch philips head bolt ( equivalent of a number 10 bolt, but with a philips head)
    - 1 inch number 10
    - 1/2 inch number 10
    - Nuts and bolts 1 inch, 1 1/2 inch number 12
    - Washers
    - Allen bolts ( number 5). ( again equivalent of number 10 bolt )

By number 10 i mean that the head of the bolt is 10mm, so the 10 mm wrench works on it.

Decided to change the tail lamp assembly; awaiting for the right & left L brackets & rear footrests, hopefully it should be coming by next week.

Noticed a world of difference between Minda & Lumax; Lumax comes almost half the price of Minda while Minda has "THE QUALITY", finally decided to go in for Minda . Anyway, that was only for Rx I thought; otherday I was carnation & was checking out fog lamps for Minda & Lumax; again the finishing of Minda was way too perfect & the material quality of Minda was great. However, the reflector quality of Lumax was outstanding. Again there was a price difference in Minda being higher.

@JD - Yes that helps very much. I've identified a shop who's a distributor for quality bolt & nut in Chennai, actually a hardware shop, I'll be there say in a month or so. I'll keep this points in mind to go in for that. However the allen keys are something still bothering me, I love to go in for that as a change, but I've seen parts falling off from Discover DTS-i, especially the places where the allen keys are used, so little skeptical.

Y'day I was in a wheel truving shop & was speaking to that guy little bit. He was suggesting to go in for good spokes in the front, he was suggesting from P150, though I'm not sure on P150's quality of spokes. My mind says Bullet spokes with Gladiator's front forks. Do you think its possible to do this combination? I personally don't prefer using P150's front suspension because of the increase in height of the vehicle. Hope using Gladiator's suspension does the same.

One more thing - If the frontal disc does not seat properly in Glad's suspension, I'm planning to use Rx135's front suspension with adding the slots for disc brakes(circled in RED). What's your suggestion on this?

      Thanks JD as always.

        Thanks JD as always.
allen bolts of the right quality ( LPS etc ), wont fall out. And they are much easier to open compared to the philip head screws.

The bullet spokes will not fit, since they are designed for a 19in rim. ( though the hub size is also comparatively bigger ).

The P150 spokes are ok. Otherwise you can simply use the front end of the gladiator. The front forks are a direct fit to the handle T of the RX100. You can use the hub of the gladiator, mount its disc, spokes rim etc.

The bike height will be slightly increased, but not as much as the P150 suspension will be. Though the suspension of the gladiator would be better suited, since the RX is extremely light.

My friend has done this mod on his bike, and the bike has much better damping at the front.

You shouldnt have a problem with the disc mounting since the gladiator shocker leg comes with the mount etc.

Oh!! I thought the old RE's came with 18 inches

Is there some kind of anti rust coating or something that I do before or after chroming? If its after chroming it should not affect the chromy looks too. How about a 3M? Just checking the feasibility of doing 3M? Pls provide me your opinions. Thanks.

^^ after chrome plating. i generally used vaseline to protect the chrome, but yeah you can use a 3m polish on it, or get a coating of teflon done. But best if you get it done on the rims before they get assembled ( as in the spokes etc get inserted), best protection.

Rims not sure though, anyway, I'm running it on HH CD100's . They're way too good in quality.
I'll be doing that 3M stuff but no polish; there's some 3M treatment done for cars & will get it done for bike too.
They say get you car 3M done so that it doesn't rust soon; so will consider that

Till date I haven't been able to find that clutch shaft & main shaft for 5 speed gear box . Getting worse & worse everyday.

                    Today we (SriramEfunds & myself) came to know something very important regarding the Rx100 silencer & the beat (the music); Looks like the Rx100 silencer is no longer available & instead the YMIS is supplying a new silencer that is suitable for Rx/RXG models with the core; So technically there's no change in the muffler inside the Rx/RXG & the real tone maker in Rx100 is the "core";

Unfortunately YMIS is making our lives challenging by not supplying this Rx100 core available & instead supplies Rx135 core to get Rx135 beat. So the only way as of now is to obtain an Rx100 core made locally to fit into Rx/RXG silencer which may be substantial low quality.

Thanks SriramEFunds to have found this information. Appreciate it.

I made a mention of this in my rebuild thread. Internal perforated metal thing in my parlance Or flute/muffler/core in more standard/popular terms. It is not available. Only way is to get one from scrap.
