Ok Thanks for explaining that to me.
Here're some more works to be done, appreciate if someone could guide me, if any of my approach should be changed.
Engine casing - This part requires painting extensively, so I'm planning to get the paintings done before dismantling & assembling the motorcycle. Also the casing requires the engine number to be etched, so will get the etching done & the painting done.
Cylinder - No plans to change as of now, but would like to get the head painted, not sure how because the head is being used along with the motorcycle now. Any guidance is greatly appreciated
Rear Swing Arm - I'm planning to get a new assy, if I don't get, would like to get it painted, again, not sure how because it is being used along with the motorcycle now. Any guidance is greatly appreciated
LED/HID - My homework is pending which I should've done; so any guidance is appreciated, if not, I'll come back with my questions after consulting with a person who can carry out this job
Spokes - Planning to buy the same sets of spokes used by old Honda Unicorn. Hopefully this should match. Any guidance is appreciated.
Throttle - I'll post a pic of my current throttle setup; however I would like to change the existing setup to a good one. I prefer the stock throttle setup as last option, could someone guide me here as what kind of setup is good enough?Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

In addition to the above, I'm planning to source the shift cam, fork assy too. I'm not sure about its availability or have much knowledge if it even requires replacement, but I feel its better to make it new.
PS - Sorry I couldn't post the pic of throttle yet, but I hope to do it sometimes this week

Buddy, i fully agree with whatever you have mentioned above. I went through your thread completely & the way you have collected all the information & posted here for public viewing is commendable. Hats off to you bro for such an effort.
I too am not just a fan of RX, but my soul breathes with this machine & no wonder i own 2 of these which i am very proud of.
I wish you all the very best for your restoration & trust me there is nothing like it when you are done with this & people are ogling at this machine when onto road.
With Regards,
- Karthik..

I'm running out of time to let the pics talking, I'll try posting more pics during the day, meanwhile here's is something what I purchased & went completely bankrupt, just have about Rs 15 in the bank all combined; this is one of the most expensive purchase I've done so far in last months for my Yamaha; just a sneak on the list...
Shift cam shaft, complete left & right side engine covers, cam fork lever & much more
Have to rely on CC to keep moving this entire month!!!
No words to describe what I feel, no words to express satisfaction & all the more, I'm very grateful & indebted for the help. This is one of the most important milestone in this rebuild and it would've not been completed with you. Thank you very much - Sriram.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Just went & had a look on the new front forks. They're looking good & the best part - no money to buy them
; I need to sell/exchange the old TStem(fork bottom) & the cone set 'cause I don't need that anymore. I'll also be needing the refund of money, for the parts that I've paid upfront.

Last night I was taking an inventory & I was like
; I got about 130+ list of parts without including small bearings, bolts nuts & few other nut castle, small washers, bushes. And everytime I get happy about looking the parts, next day I come to know I haven't purchased this & that.
Sri, you're right on Bar Tension. In addition, I'll need
1. O Ring
2. Bolt, nut hex & spring washer on Bar tension for both sides
3. Right L Bracket & bolt
4. Bolt flanges on the stand
5. Shaft on the centre stand (if you've in the assy then I can forget this)
PS - By next week, I'm sure this list is bound to increase

You're welcome. I wouldn't completely take the credit..will call that gentleman and convey our happiness and thank him since his call worked!Originally posted by aargee View PostThank you very much - Sriram.
No. The pivot shaft does not come with the assembly. You get them with dealers. You will need to purchase the Pivot Shaft plus the circular stopper like washer.Originally posted by aargee View Post5.
