Note 2: If the Company can sell the Bore kit for 3~4 times the original MRP (That too a Bore kit by different manufacturer), why can't stockists sell it for 5~6 times its original MRP for the back dated Authentic E-Series Bores? Its a basic Supply Vs Demand Philosophy.
If the Yamaha can sell the bore kits, he has registered his company and pays sales tax and the bill shows details and the rate reflects the same as on the box as far as I've seen. If the company has hiked it's rate that's because of the raw materials and associated costs involved during the time of production, in this case that is 2012, not sure which year you are comparing. If stockists is any where involved in the whole process of getting the produce shall be justified their 5~6 times the MRP. Do they?

Its not just the case of Bore kits!!!!!!! Why is Yamaha RX-Z 5-Speed Selling for 70K~1L in B'lore? Why is RD350HT selling for 1.8L to 2.5L in B'lore? And people buy it. Why? Sriram, next time you are in B'lore, please do meet us, i will personally take you to Shivaginagar Gujjari & you can enquire the Bore rates there, i am sure you will faint!!!!!! The market in B'lore is such & there are plenty of buyers, hence such an inflation will keep happening.
I'll not be able to comment on the bikes/spares being sold insanely in Bangalore but there are lot of loosers and some take advantage of the situation. But there is something called desperation and anyone could fall into it, including me.

Yes, It's a long due to visit Bangalore, last few times were very limited hours. When I'm there please take me to Shivajinagar market. Thanks.

This is the reason i dont offer these bores for Genuine Enthusiasts.
That is totally upto you, oh yes, the fact is well understood.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

              • ^^ Instead of sitting in front of an LCD screen at the comfort of an Air Conditioned room asking for prices about one million things that goes into the re-build and people like us not knowing what exactly you need for the build, how can be of any help and you? You really can't expect any reply for what you've posted.

Instead for a change why don't you walk-in to a YASS and get all the info and post it for us. At-least by that way, we'll be sure that you are passionate about the build rather than an another brick in the wall....

P.S. Good Luck for the Re-build

Yes the genuine spares are available, but it depends on your search and dedication..
Price list for Yamaha RX cannot be given because it keeps changing in daily basis ...
Yes you can use the Yamaha Gladiator disc setup...

I'm not sure when was this. But Yamaha Motor India Limited had started supplying RX100 cylinder kit (incl. piston) via showroom and priced at 8200/- MRP in mid-2011 if my memory lights up.

I remember we had discussed about the RX100 bore kit way back in the month of May/June 2011.

Hi Sohiab. Thanks for the call yesterday dude. Just wanted to point out that the oe specs for the 5 speed sprocket kit is 15/38. However the kit that rolon sells for the 5 speed has 16/38 for some reason. I spoke to yamdoot abt the same thing sometime ago and he said that the top end wud be better with the rolon

Many people also suggest that it's better to use a 4 speed carb on a 5 speed bore.

Thought u may like to know the difference
