Correct, if you observe the rings of 0.75mm & 1.00mm ART piston Kit, even the rings are from Yamaha.

Btw, i have a STD size "ART" piston, whose rings are not from Goetz. Let me look around for that name. It did say "Made in Japan" or something & also was in Small Yamaha Cardborad Packing. Will post pics & details later. Its always better to learn the variants Yamaha came up with.

Yes DualDisk. Thanks for the info. I was not sure about the rings manufacturer for E series. Thats why just mentioned Piston only from ART . And for I series, I am sure that its goetze rings and piston as I ve already seen it.

Post an Introduction dude. No details in your profile like where are you from and all? How can we assume your place and tell the places where you will get the parts?

May be that STD rings are 4Y2 (part#)? In my opinion, cardboard packed rings that came in earlier days had Indian part#. (1L.1,1L.5 etc)

Sri, it doesn't have the 4Y2 or the IL1, 1L5 or 1L7 part numbers. Will post a pic soon once i confirm the dia is actually 58mm.

I see the Inbuilt Silencer (Free Flow) and the NMW sticker. Quite sure this bike is from Bangalore or was altered (Read Butchered) here.

IMHO, Mag wheels will look good only on RX-Z & not on regular RX series. But still if you feel like having one, try the gladiator one.

Karthik, why do you say the bike was Butchered?

Any specific reasons? Or are you referring to the In-Built? A classic identity of Bangy....

                      • Hi, Guys!

I hope yawl r super fantastic and your RX's too.

These might be repeat questions so I apologize in advance:

1.) are stocks of the RX bores and pistons still available at the yamaha dealerships in india?

2.) which states in india? i have not asked the main yamaha branch here in hyderabad (rajbhavan road where their stocks r kept) recently.

3.) How long will stocks last (any idea?) ..I will be able to make orders (one rx100 bore kit and one rx135 five speed bore kit) but only in the months of Feb 2013 and March 2013 sadly.

Sorry if I'm wasting your time.. just tell me where the info is already kept on xbhp and i'll go there. Thank you!

This I think was a colour later introduced by Yamaha. Pre-90s Yamaha red was called 'Cherry Red' I am told.

Any info on the colour code on that one will be very helpful. Painters cannot do 100% matching of this colour :-(

                              • hi everyone, this is atul from andamans. Finally i got a 4speed rxz for 15k after an intensive 2 month search

I am planning to restore it in a couple of months time, till then i will keep accumulating parts

here's the list of parts i need, anyone and everyone who have some/each of these, please help me out

                                1. complete wiring harness for rxz
                                2. tachometer cable
                                3. oil pump
                                4. complete lock set
                                5. ignition kit
                                6. OE reed valves
                                7. Intake/Carb manifold rubber
                                8. rxz front footpeg rubbers
                                9. rear swing arm
                                10. a fuel tap/cock, only in case its different for rxz
                                11. front visor, the transparent one would be preferred.

i would also like to know if the OE main bearings are still available in showrooms.

the biggest problem here, in andamans is that there's only one Yamaha authorised dealer and he hardly has anything for the two strokes and doesnt seem interesting in taking up orders

the ignition kit is fine but i would like to have an extra spare for the future
i wish to buy a brand new tank and crank assembly as well but its seriously out of budget right now, but still i would like to know if someone has it and how much does it cost.

                                thanks
