hi everyone, this is atul from andamans. Finally i got a 4speed rxz for 15k after an intensive 2 month search

I am planning to restore it in a couple of months time, till then i will keep accumulating parts

Congrats on the Z Atul...

1. complete wiring harness for rxz

Next to Impossible I guess, it took almost a year to get this for my bike. Hope you have good wiring guys in your city, you can always ask to repair the old one. That was my last resort for me but luckily I found two for my two builds.

2. tachometer cable

Available locally, not OE but a good quality one.

3. oil pump

Readily available. But which one? Is it the bigger pump?

4. complete lock set

NA as a complete set. But was available in separate sets like, tank lock, side door etc..

5. ignition kit

Readily available, i guess it's some 550 rupees or so...

6. OE reed valves

Same as Rx 135. Readily available

7. Intake/Carb manifold rubber

NA

8. rxz front footpeg rubbers

Readily available. Not OE, but of good quality ones. Rs.80 or 90/ Pc I guess

9. rear swing arm

NA. If you notice carefully, there's a dent on the either sides of the swing arm for suspension travel in the Z. So, it's not the same as 135. Might be, some jugaad would be of some help here.

10. a fuel tap/cock, only in case its different for rxz

Not sure...

11. front visor, the transparent one would be preferred.

Available, guess I paid Rs.250 or so...a year back

i would also like to know if the OE main bearings are still available in showrooms.

the ignition kit is fine but i would like to have an extra spare for the future
i wish to buy a brand new tank and crank assembly as well but its seriously out of budget right now, but still i would like to know if someone has it and how much does it cost.

Brand new tank?? Forget it. Next to impossible. Even if you find one, the asking price would be higher than what you got your bike for. Better bet would be, search in your local market for a scrap tank, figure it out with a tinker. That's what i did for a spare tank.

OE crank assy are available in YASS with 2YA markings and would cost something like 3.4k.

Congrats on the purchase. Now comes the tougher part, "The Spare Parts Hunt".

here's the list of parts i need, anyone and everyone who have some/each of these, please help me out

1. complete wiring harness for rxz

3. oil pump
4. complete lock set
5. ignition kit
6. OE reed valves
7. Intake/Carb manifold rubber
8. rxz front footpeg rubbers
9. rear swing arm

Line Item 1 through 11 all can be arranged.

The OE main bearings for RXG was "KOYO" (Made in Japan) and for rest of the 135 series was "SKF" (Made in India). Either can be arranged.

Try the 90/100 Ignition Kit with Iridiums.

Brand New (NOS) package RX-Z Fuel tank are available in 2 colours with us :


1. Creamy White
2. Wine Red


And yes CrankShaft with OE "2YA" ConRod is also in stock for now. Alternatively you can try the "4Y2" ConRod (Made in Japan).

I would advice you to do some research on these spares. If you can't find any, then feel free to revert on ([email protected]) or ([email protected]).

can you please confirm wheteher the footpeg rubbers, ignition kit are still available??

the tank has a good amount of rust inside and has a few holes, covered with m-seal. and moreover am not sure if its a good idea to saty with the tank for a longer duration.

here a few mechanics are able to get me non- OE tanks for Rs. 5000, will it be advisable to go for it??

Sticking to OE old rusted tank as I've guys here to work upon how ever bad they are to bring out a spanking new tank...

i did talk to some good tinkers here ram bro, one of them told me that he would plate it from inside after cutting it and then he would putit back together afterwards.
but there's every possiblity that it starts rusting at the places which he welds to put it back into shape and it could spread to the whole tank in no-time

If you are getting a new tank [even if its non OE], bargain and buy it. Z tanks have become rare.

While you start using the new tank, you can get the older one rebuilt and epoxy coated from inside to avoid rust.

Karthik, the last picture of carburetor, is that 4TL series? I'm reading something like 2xx series of VM24 etched. Correct me if wrong.
