    you have already suggested this sriram!! yea i will go for it when i go for the whole rewiring process in my bike (i have to do this soon since all wires are like bits and pieces working together!!)..at that time i will replace the whoe assembly!! but now i thought of only changing the reflector since its coating has completely worn off leading the light beam just point and not allowing to spread!!

          Sorry for going OT.
          O.T Again: Hello Karthik, first of all thank you for the complements The Ninja in the album belongs to a friend of mine which we had taken it to kodaikanal along with few R15's. To be honest the kwacker was struggling to climb the hills in second gear with single rider with no luggage or whatsoever whereas the R15's were zooming past with pillions & saddle bags with utmost ease. Again in the plains the story is different altogether as R15's can't see the green anywhere once it zooms past them. Now, coming back to 135's with them, the sheer rush of power in fourth, also in fifth past a certain rpm in my case 60Kmph is absent in the kwacker. But..but..the kwacker never puts you off when in the highways. It's always a bliss! As we two strokers expect wheelies in first gear when the throttle is wacked open, which cannot be expected in the Ninja. neverthe less a great bike that shows what's 250 tis like to the world like the 135's have shown us scariest rides in the history of 2 strokes in India.(Oh ya..! Excluding RD's)

              If I remember Yamaha OE wiring kit should cost anywhere around 250-300 bucks. However, can check on this.

              DCM Toyota Headlight assembly(reflector/glass) = 130 (approx)
              Philips HS1 - 150 - Parking bulb = 5-10
              H4 holder = 50
              Labour= 50.
              Total = 600 approx.(wiring kit+bulb+H4holder+labor)

                        If its OE it wont make any difference. I guess Indonesian Yamaha have their own number on the rods. 2YA was Japanese.

                          Doc, these indonesian guys have completely localized every thing, right from cylinder to con-rod to pistons to ignition etc.

                          It does make an impact on the overall performance !!!!

                          Can you compare "ART" or 'WISECO" with "SAM" or "GODZILLA" ?????? Its the quality & the kind of performance.

                          Why do you think i pay a fortune to get the original '4Y2' con-rod & bigger size pistons !!!!!!...... They are not anymore readily available even in imported markets. I plan to get yet another set of '4Y2' con-rod & 0.75mm & 1.00mm & probably 2.00mm 4Y2 ART pistons. When i get them i will post a pic.

                          I could have soruced the original 18BHP '4Y2' cylinder kit, but then this cylinder has its matching head, matching GB, matching Ignition, matching pipes. Instead of replacing so many components i would rather use a 4TL00 or 4TL10 kit & mod it till it delivers 18BHP @ crank. I have a brand new 4TL10 kit with me, but its a personal collection & not for sale & would prefer it any day more than OE '4Y2' kit simply because i dont own an RX-K & i am not in Thailand or Indonesia.

                          Just FYI, my tuner here is running into drag racing for the last 15Yrs & not once we have had a blown engine. At the end it not just the speed, but the reliability. And these original '4Y2' are most reliable, no wonder even we used '4Y2' pistons for our RX135 series.

                          End of the day, its a personal choice. I once said before, i would rather not run my RX135s if running on GODZILLA pistons. For me reliabilty is the most important criteria. I clearly tell this to my tuner, everytime he sets up my engine or ports, "If my engine blows up, he has to pay for it", & he replies, no matter what i do, engine wont blow up & do i need a proof, 3yrs after the rebuild of my green 5-speeder & the performance is mind-blowing even now. Most of the parts used inside have no relation to Indian 5-speed variant, but the items are Genuine stuff OE stuffs.

                          • You are right Karthik. We surely would like to run ART and other original stuff on our bikes if they are available. Only a lucky few like you have sources for ART .50 and above. Let me know if i can have oversizes from you.

                              Anytime doc. Let me get back to India.

                              As far as JD's build is concerned, since he is using a 14BHP kit & i assume he has no plans for any future modification (BHP increase), it is safe for him to go ahead. I dont see any problems in that as long as he keeps it stock & riding sane.
