    • JD:- Good to see the rebuild work commenced. Are you going to have new gearbox for retaining the existing one?

      • Retain the existing one. Nothing is too worn on the gearbox, including the dogs, the owner did only about 30,000 kms on it.

          • @JD, why are you painting the crank cases? Ideally they should be cleaned with a polishing wheel and they look like new.

It doesn't seem like a '2YA' con-rod nor the '4Y2' con-rod. Anyways good luck with the rebuild.

No rebore work beats the cylinder that comes out of assembly plant.

If I were you, would buy a RX100 from market start a restoration project than changing a running RX135. It's just my personal opinion.

I always follow only one principle, never fiddle with the machine that is not giving any problem; never run a machine with problems.
Ganesh, i agree with Sriram here. If you don't want the RX100 project, then get hold of a 4-speed cylinder kit (if you don't believe in re-bores). So this will be the only change in the bike. Going back to 100 seems a little tricky to me as it involves a complete engine re-build. 135 bores may be out soon, so grab them when they are avaialble.

@Sriram, nice comment there. Loved it.

As far as my knowledge goes, there's no reflector available as a separate part Deepak, however some non OE brands & grey market stuff are available but not worth the money!

Go for DCM Toyota headlight assembly (lumax). Also add HS1/H4 head lamp for the bike with same 35/35w halogen- Philips/Osram silverstar etc. It will look just the same as OE except when the light is switched on. Hope you had seen my bike's.

Hello Ram, i just loved your photos on the website in your signature. Just coudn't control myself when i saw that Green Ninja. Just wanting to know how is this bike in terms of power when we compare it with RX135. I mean i want to hear it from someone who knows about 2-strokes & then experienced this twin cylinder 4-stroke.

                                Sorry for going OT.
