    • USED to be Rs 18 for a litre of Petrol, USED to be Rs 20 for a Kg of rice !!! Someone might post in the future that "used to be Rs 8K for a cylinder kit in 2011" Lol!!! We only have to laugh over these Deepak, do we've a choice?

      My supplier said he could confirm if the price is Rs 8K for cylinder kit this noon, so, pls expect an update from me this noon or by evening or latest by tomorrow noon. And yes, he was saying about Rx100 & not 135.

      I'm planning to buy ONE Rx100 cylinder piston kit, crankshaft, reed valve & VM20. Would that be sufficient to convert back 135 to 100 or do I need anything more guys? TIA.

        • Not anything on carbs. But there're plenty of Micarb available for 100s. I'll have my bet placed on crankshaft at this point.

            For a Proper Conversion,In Additional you will need:
            * RX 100 Head
            * RX 100 Transmission Assembly (Complete gearbox)
            * RX 100 Clutch Bell with matching primary drive
            * RX 100 Clutch Hub & Clutch centre

              Head is fine, I missed out though I knew. But why would I want to change the clutch & gearbox What might harm if I use the existing tranny & its components?

                Carb's for RX100(MICARB) are readily available!

                    Ganesh, change the Head (this is mandatory), gearbox & clutch assembly can be retained. But one question, why are you going back from 135 to 100? Are you planning on another 135?

                      No; I'd like to buy a 100's cylinder kit, head, carbs & crankshaft now. If the existing 135 cylinder conks off, then I could use the stock 100's cylinder kit & keep it running.

                      No rebore work beats the cylinder that comes out of assembly plant.

                      • It's really a great news for 2 stroke lovers that 100 bore kits will be available shortly. RX100 market will go RX1000s then!

                        I appreciate all of you cross checking with respective dealers, only hope that words come true.

                        @Ganesh:- I appreciate your idea behind purchasing the RX100 kits (head, cylinder, carb and crank), wonder if you going to switch from 135; don't you think it would be going back in time?

                        If I were you, would buy a RX100 from market start a restoration project than changing a running RX135. It's just my personal opinion.

                        I always follow only one principle, never fiddle with the machine that is not giving any problem; never run a machine with problems.

                              Instead of fixing the issue, you want to change the whole configuration? If your worry is only about the 135 cylinder then can't we address the issue alone? I need not say what would take to change from one format to another. Taking baby steps to resolve issues would be worth or if you just want it that way, I accept your personal choice.

                              Now that we have some light from YMIS on the 100 bore kit, would soon wait for some news on the 135 as well. I pray God !

                                Aargee saar Rx 100 cylinder kits .Crank . Carb . available if u need i can get u
                                Btwn Yamaha 5 speed cylinder ill be out on yamaha dealer mostly by july .
