Thanks Praful for answering all those noob questions about the map route, AMS and all!
I dont smoke or anything, just was in this phase of life where if I could think of anything that could go bad, its ends up going bad :P so! a bit paranoid!
I was waiting for Inder to post something on this thread.
1) Spidey, where is your aunts place in Delhi?
I hope they know that we would be staying there for a night!
2) Vishwas\Inder, whats the name of the place where the bikes will be unloaded?
and what time would\should we be ready?
3) How far is the place in Point 2) - away from place in point 1)
Do you suggest we ride to point 2 or they ride to point 1, or we get our arse out of Delhit to avoid traffic and ensure that we meet them somewhere enroute!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

^One hour seems difficult considering you need to get the bike out, fix up rvms etc, load it with baggage and fuel... and probably also freshen up!
Second post that I was waiting for all to write:
Things to buy
Spares
- Clutch Levers
- Brake Levers
- Throttle Cable
- Brake Cable
- Basic tool kit (PS: Consider your engine oil drain nut for this, the RTR and the FZ has a odd star shaped drain nut)
- Engine Oil
- Spark Plugs
- Fuse
- Tyre Tubes
(more to come... time to go!)Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Its a good idea to a fresh set of cables/clutch plates/tyres to avoid most of the usual troubles that creep into bikes.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostSpares

And most importantly, ensure your battery is in topnotch condition. In our ride we did not have a single bike related issue. One of our bike's battery developed AMS

Yes my Masi knows, infact she only invited me to get you all there. We'll be staying in Vasant Vihar D2 block. I guess this place is very near to the so called xbhp Dhaba, not sure though.
2) Vishwas\Inder, whats the name of the place where the bikes will be unloaded?

It'll take min. of 3 hours, thats what took me at Mumbai CST once when my bike was coming from Nagpur, they are the most cprrupt people I had ever seen. They'll directly ask you to give bribe or wait for a good 3 hrs to get you bike out. From the clerks to the gatekeeper, every bl**dy a** asked for the bribe

H.Nizamuddin is about 15 kms from My Masi's place.

im planning with a couple of friend on august 14th..any dos and dont to this timetable.
also i am buying a gopro hd helmet camera .the battery of gopro is 3.7v 1100 mAp which is similar to the one used in nokia expressmusic.and the gopro can be charged while shooting..was just thinking if car lighter to usb charger would help me with the charge for the entire trip.gopro cam has a usb charging pin so i dont think so it should have a problem.can i have the link to the car lighter socket mounting ull have made for ur bike.last but not the least, can i shoot the journey without the cops giving a problem as now a days they dont even allow photography on streets.
