Rohtang Jot is going to be reopened for tourists from Wednesday. Hopefully Manali SDM Office would start issuing permit for out of state vehicles heading to Lahaul as well.

There are many people who are starting in late first week and in second week of June.
i am starting on 14th June from bangalore and would be going via delhi-srinagar route.
We can meet in mid way.

Can some one Give me Route plan for Delhi-Leh-Delhi for less than 10 days. if anyone familiar with the area , i am ready to skip site seeing also.
i can't get Leave more than 10 days, so i need some experts view. im starting from BLR i can take flight. if its not possible then i might take Spiti Trek instead of Leh.
any time june is ok for me.

I am also planning a motorcycle trip to Ladakh,
My route - jammu-zanskar-leh-nubra-pangong-moriri-manali.
My ride starting from Jammu 4th July 2013. (I am taking my bike by train from kolkata and reaching jammu on 3rd July)
I'm solo rider till now and i welcome riders all around India to be with me or to include me for the trip.

Hi ill be starting from Mumbai or from ahmedabad on 8th of June.. And my plan is to reach amritsar on 10th... 12th ill be leaving from amritsar. Planning to Skip Delhi

[MENTION=26554]nagoo[/MENTION] : Even 10 days is more than enough for a delhi - leh - delhi trip. One crazy guy here on xbhp (ref: The leh marathon) did delhi to leh via manali in 33 hours!
You can do this
Delhi - Jammu/Udhampur
Jammu/Udhampur - Srinagar/Sonmarg
Srinagar/Sonmarg - Kargil/Lamayuru
Kargil/Lamayuru - Leh (If you start from lamayuru - you can get the permits done in the afternoon. So try to push it on the first day)
Leh Bike maintenance - Khardungla - Leh (If you didn't get your permits the previous day - get it early today and then go to khardung la)
Leh - Pangong Tso - Leh/Upshi
Leh/Upshi - Sarchu/Darcha/Keylong
Sarchu/Darcha/Keylong - Manali/Kullu/Mandi
Manali/Kullu/Mandi - Delhi

1 day buffer for any loss of time. Or, you could go to nubra(highly overrated) or spend a night at pangong tso.

What is the better way to transport bike to Delhi from Bangalore? Gati quoted ~Rs. 6000 (one way) for RE350. 12K to & fro would be too much for us.. Does anyone know the train parcel charges Blore - Delhi?
