This company, MHR produces LS2 and Nuvo and incidentally, this company also manufactures Rjays and Sparx .

This is a matter of getting used to. Of course shorter hair and hygiene would help too!!

I hope that you are aware that KBC and Sparx have the same owners! Sparx was actually designed to be the lower range of KBC.
Regarding manufacturing...its a part and parcel of any business, for e.g. fiat sources out diesel engine to maruti suzuki,
in a sony vaio laptop nearly 30% of the parts are from toshiba.
That has nothing to do with the quality aspect of the product.
in case of mhr they are just a manufacturing firm which produces helmets according to the moulds and specifications of the branded companies like ls2,nuvo,spark etc,
who knows they might get a contract from other helmet companies like sol, airoh, etc,in the near future
guys all these things going about ls2,cross,spark,hjc,etc etc is all vague, dealers always try to reason it out that his company is best, other company is not good, his helmet is value for money etc etc,
we are better in judging it for ourselves,it doesnt mean a rs 5000 helmet is better than a 2500 rs helmet, who knows a person dealing in 5000rs helmet might be keeping his profit at 70% and a person dealing in 2500 rs might be keeping his profit at bare minimum,in either which ways both at par in terms of quality.Ls2 ,cross are old timers in the imported helmets industry of India, more than a lakh of these products have been sold in the indian market till date ,and not one case of a person dieing by wearing these helmets due to defect has been reported, that is a big enough proof about the quality and safety standards of these companies

    • LS2 - Which, where and how much? In Bangalore.

Checked out phobia, evil twin and dragon's den at @ Rs3000/- without the air pump.

The padding at the cheeks was loose and the helmet was a bit,a bit, wobbly. The rubber at the mouth vents hit my nose in phobia and evil twin. The shell pressured on the top portion of my skull. Therefore, it felt a bit heavy. Any other suggestions?

I'm still keen on ls2 though. For the ece certification, ofcourse. Budget is 3k. Suggestions of shops in Bangalore solicited.

      Regards,
      Me.

Helmet Paradise, opposite Urvashi theater has a wide range of LS2. You can even bargain it to 2.5k. If they don't agree in the 1st time, walk out saying you got a better deal somewhere else, they come running and offer the bargain!

        • Suggest I good protective helmet that goes well with RE bullet classic 350... I don't need any graphics.. just a nice looking black halmet that's unlike the one used with speedy bikes like karizma etc.. I mean it just needs to simple and elegent

My range is not high... just 1k to 2k.. can go a bit up but not much

Please suggest if you have any in mind... thanks

One day, I will take it easy. Today won't be that day...

**Drooling** Had saved some for a 4-6k helmet but damn it, now I don't want anything else!

Rossi's replica helmets were always out of budget (I am student) but this has inspired me to work hard and put aside some fund for this every month. Who cares if you have a Samsung Galaxy, right?

                    • Damn. The AH helmets guys tells me that the new shipment of SOL helmets would arrive on 3rd/4th of May. It'd be a full month since I bought my bike. 600+ Kms without a helmet. I just hope I have a head when the helmet does arrive.
@sunnysideup : Hemant(owner) also told me the helmet would arrive at chennai tomorrow from tha US. True? and that it'd take 3-4 days for you to ship it to Mumbai? True?

actually i havent got the chance to use any other helmet in the similar price range,so couldnt compare it with others

after using the helmet for over 3000kms i can say that i am totally in love with the helmet.few points i would like to mention about the helmet:-

-fit n finish of helmet is awesome(especially the quality of paint)
-very snug fit(this is the way i like it)
                            -light weight
-very very less wind-noise(tested the helmet upto 200kmph)
                            -stable at high-speeds
                            &
                            -killer graphics(atleast i feel so)

attaching few pics of the helmet-

                            hope this helps

                            • LS2 FF 351-7 diamond helmet

                              Friends,

got myself a LS2 FF 351 today. I was using a studds ninja "concept" helmet for last few months. I bought it with my new ride (GS150R). Being tourer / half face helmet, it was causing a lot of problems to me - lots of drag above 80 kmph, and additional dust and wind noise problem.

So it was time to upgrade to a real helmet. Thanks to the forum, I searched and found all kinds of helmet manufacturer and came to know that helmets can be upto 1000 USD .

Set my limit to 3.5 K. opted for good full face / flip open helmets.

Shops : Searched for good helmet shops but they are very few here @ kolkata that I know of. landed @ shops near Khanna cinema. Xbhpians from kolkata should recognize.

tried : Studds - rhino, LS2 - 2/3 variety. agv / kbc / sol were all out of my reach.

                              chose : LS2 FF 351-7 diamond.

cons : good snug fit, exactly @ my budget of 3K (that's what he quoted and did not move against my hard bargain), good noise reduction (still to test for speed abode 90).

overall very satisfied with the product.

next up - pictures and some high speed testing reports may be by weekend.

please confirm the price was ok or not.

Are you sure these^ are "CONS"
I got my diamond almost 2 years back at 3300INR, the new ones would not cost you more than 2800INR. Noise reduction is good still 120-130kmph, after that you would need another better helmet (have tested it at 190kmph)
Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world
