Re: Helmets
I didnt want to share this but changed my mind so that members here understand why we urge everyone to buy good riding gears and good certified helmet.
Jacket : Generic Motowear jacket which did its work of saving my upper part of body in very good way. Not a single scratch on my upper body.
Helmet : Now before I go further, let me make you all aware that my LS2 is the first helmet that was imported and had DOT certification. Its the heaviest LS2 in the market and also the certification is not stickered, its embossed. This is why I know why the LS2s that are there in the market are fake as I can clearly see where the current LS2 screams of "bring fake".
Gloves : This was my mistake, I was wearing Pro Biker, they could not take the impsct very well. Resulting in right pinky finger fractured and left thumb join dislocation> i assume TRG2 being leather and better protection could have taken it in better way.
If you see the video closely, you can see my head hitting Car's A pillar and then almost hitting the pavement slab. I very well know that this could have been fatal, but glad I was wearing enough riding gears.
I request you all to take this as an example and invest in some good riding gears and helmet.
Ride safe.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Take out some time and just read the last 50 pages.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Helmets
Hi,Originally posted by tomk View PostHello everyone,
I am about to buy Duke 200. Which helmet should I look to buy (orange / black) color would fit fine. But there are several brands on amazon and I am getting kind of confused. My budget is around 2.5-3.5K but can spend up to 4K if required.
This is the one I liked: Vega Off Road Motocross Helmet (Dull Black, M): Amazon.in: Car & Motorbike has highest reviews plus a cap like structure at the top so can protect against sun as well.
But I have glasses. Would this helmet be comfortable in glasses? Or if you have any other good suggestions please let me know.
Thanks so much!
I suggest you to get the right fit.the right fit is really not very comfortable. It sticks to your head and cheeks. I use Bell helmet which come around 7K. Best bet for riding but slightly more than what you quoted.
You may find it from here.

Damn. That's scary. You know, as a newbie to motorcycling, these kind of incidents really make me rethink my decision to get a bike.Originally posted by prateek2210 View Post

Re: Helmets
Okay after the recent crash at the racetrack in which the guy lost his life i am thinking of getting some other helmet.. i have a THH Dot certified helmet right now but i want something more reliable.. under 10000.. Sol helmets are the only thing that come to my mind..is there any other option any online retailers or offline retailers in or around Delhi? The cheapest AGV is 20k should i save some more for it?

Fibreglass Shell - Will absorb impact much better than polycarbonate as the fibres crumple inn, rather than tear open as with a polycarbonate plastic shell.

Re: Helmets
Hey,
For those guys that use MT, could anyone direct me on the visors? I'm looking to purchase a smoke visor, but I'm not sure on night time visibility, could anyone tell me how their experience with it is?
I've used an iridium visor in the past, and while I really liked it, it's impossible to see anything through that during the dark, which is why I'm skipping it.
Thanks!
