Due to the length of the bulb, the reflector cannot be put back into its place along with the bi-xenon bulb in it with the speedo cable plugged in. Can anybody help me with that as I don't want to ride the bike without the speedo and the odo.
Also, can anyone give me an idea of how to adjust the beam on my RE C5?
Well, I was able to rectify the beam problem. Now I am only left with the other problem i.e the speedo cable problem. Any ideas guys?

Sent you a mail. The speedo can be loosened and the cable can be pushed back. Try it out

Guys finally the setup of the projector is done

      Specs
2.8 inch projectors with wide angle and 7 color angel eyes x 2
      35w ballast x 2

The beam is just mind blowing . I want to compare it with some JC road mod to see which one is better. Any one willing to do a comparo ?

The Low beam is simply awesome. The spread is even and you get a neat cut line of light . No light is going waste.

The high beam is too bright . Pics wont do justice .

The setup takes close to 6 hrs . and cant be done in a stretch . This is a back breaking DIY .

                  Hi All,

Came across this ready made LED stuff in SP Road bangalore.

it is for connecting directly to 12V battery,Starting a DIY for putting these into Aux Lights housing.
Life(health & wealth) is like LED(voltage & current) too much or too less is unacceptable.

                    • My ballasts died. Battery is healthy, the APE RR is also healthy. Gives out 14.1~ 14.2V at 8K RPM and around 13.8V at lower revs. I was riding one evening last week with just the low beam ON, it blinked twice and just died. I switched to the high beam and the high was running perfectly. So used that for a week. And then yesterday even the high beam ballast decided that it wanted to die.

The ballast that died first was from Delhi which worked fine for 2 years. The other ballast was of very good quality as it was from Navnish and was just a month old.

I wasn't riding much this month as it used to rain. Just some leisure in city rides not more than 10kms.. the bike was parked in shade away from rain. help please

What bike do you have? When I was changing the battery on my P220 last month, the Amaron Dealer told me that the reason my last battery (Stock exide) went kaput inside 2 years is because the Alternator/rectifier was supplying as many as 14.8V @7-8K RPM. (According to that fellow, the voltage should NEVER exceed 14.2V. This lead to overcharging of the battery and eventually a premature death. I guess we should take this up with the manufacturer (BAL in my case). This could probably be the reason why both your ballasts died.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Yes mine never exceeded 14.2V no matter how hard I twisted the throttle.

                              Hi Abhi,
                              they cost me @ 180Rs/piece.

                              need your suggestion!!

I'm planning to use 7812 regulator in series with these, to regulate the voltage to constant 12V and even if the 7812 goes kaput LEDs wil be spared from damage. what do you say?
