Secondly, why do you want to change the headlight assembly? A higher wattage halogen or HID can be fitted in the existing one easily without any issues.

you can go for Pulsar classic round headlight dome with ambassador car reflector fitted in it.
Also Avenger 180 non-dtsi magneto stator coil fits in P-150(Avenger which was available during 2006.Dont go for stator coil of Avenger 200.Only Avenger 180)
Avenger supports 60/55 watts bulb
Ambassador car/Bullet classic 500 cc/Mahindra jeep reflector fits perfectly into the round headlight of P-150
after that get a halogen bulb of 60/55 watts
Thus you can increase the intensity of P-150

guys need some help!!!
I and my friend had bought a HID kit(Chinese make) 4 months back.. my bike(Apache 180) and my friend's bike (karizma ZMA).. it came with an year warranty..
I'm aware that my bike is not full DC.. but I'm facing a weird problem... My HID bulb flickers a lot..
but the same bulb if connected to his HID ballast does not flicker.. and if i connect his bulb to my ballast no flickering!!!
why is this??
my bulb : H3 whereas my friend's is halogen+HID

hello guys,
as now i have purchased a ONB from ebay for cost 900+190 for delivery.
now i want to need to know following things-(i have pulsar 200 cc with stock settings)
should i really need to change avy coil and RR unit of avy 180 also
What will happen when i only change avy coil not rr unit
what about reflector, will it melt up if i ride for long 50kms,
and if i put avy coil will my battery overcharged, if yes any precaution.
plz help guys i am from jodhpur and no body have any idea about that.

you have two options.
easy one- get Avenger 180 alternator with stock P200 RR(Avy RR is only optional, I have used both. No significant difference in bulb intensity) and you can plonk any 55/60W bulb in existing headlamp.you can get avy coil from any PBK centre or service centres.
time consuming one-(not tough though) get your Lighting coils rewinded or convert to full DC by rewinding with single phase winding. and Plonk 55/60 bulb.
both methods are tested and worked well, but rewinding option if not done well,will end up in mess.
time/road tested option is go for avvy coil set up...
battery is same for UG 2 and above pulsars and Avenger, So no issue of overchargin....trust me I'm using this setup from more than an year...No reflector melting/ blackening. there are instances where I have ridden more than 250Km in night with this set-up.Life(health & wealth) is like LED(voltage & current) too much or too less is unacceptable.

I recently installed a 55w h4 bixenon 4300k hid on a cbr . Its doing good. And the output is awesome. Will post some pics when i get a chance.
p220 guys . A friend of mine has a p220 FI. He is facing issues with his HID.
he says " when I press clutch to change gear, HL fluctuates from low beam to upper and my digital console also blacks out. Also, while pressing cluth, starter initiates and it gives load on battery " any ideas or suggestions ?
I am not sure whats wrong .but have done close to a dozen p220 fi installs and no issues what so ever.The oldest one done is Ankits ( diehard ) 220 . The hid on ankits 220 fi is been up and running since almost 2 years now. Has anyone faced such kind of issue on the p220 ?Converting Halogen / HID headlamp setups to FULL LED.

there is no point in just replacing the bulb to 55/60w, it will not glow to it's full extent. with stock Coil it will only glow to its 80% brightness after 7000rpm only which is aproximately 70KM/hr, you really want to take risk by literally driving blind at 70KM/hr in night
?
replacing just the bulb is like taking out the old tap and putting new tap to the same old tank
.
Life(health & wealth) is like LED(voltage & current) too much or too less is unacceptable.

Is your friends bike working normal before depressing the clutch.
coz I can smell fried BCU in this case....

Hi guys, I want to change the stock bulb both MAIN & PILOT(any good & bright white LED is good) of my FZ-S. HID is not a must but I want a bulb with good light than stock and if the light will be WHITE it will be good(as it looks great
) & what will be the price & where can I get it in Kolkata(name of any shop will be much beneficial). Also when I ask SVC personnel they said putting HID will void the warranty.
