AFAIK battery is fine.. all my other components [Bosch horn, angel eyes, pilot lamp etc etc] are working perfect..
the flickering started when bike was not full DC.. changed 2 bulbs and then got my bike converted to full-DC.. and it was fine for 5-6 days and then a continuous ride for 45 mins. and the bulb started flickering..

        Is it from Ruby?

Check with another ballast from ur friend and try it for a day if possible, if that works fine, ask for a replacement.

Are u sure that ur battery is in good health? Is it possible to start the bike from the ES when the HID starts flickering?

Also ask Ruby guys to check the charging rates @3K and above, it should be more than 5A for a healthy rate.

        • Flasher Enabled Pass Light Function

          Hi all,

I've started a new DIY thread on flashing pass light function using the stock flasher. Its very effective and easy for both AC & DC bikes cost only 1INR. Have a look and let me have ur comments.

          • Hello guys... Is there any shop in Delhi that can do coil winding for an Apache rtr 180. This is for the DC conversion and subsequent HID fitment. Would include the Ape RR after winding.. Any pointers??

I think you would have figured it out already but the headlight is not fit properly or rather focused properly. Take it to any random mechanic and he can do it for you.

Some where in this thread few months back Dr Vivek'd put a pic like that but that was on a P150 for his friend IIRC. You can refer it for an idea or ping him about this, he's more helpful in this.

                  Drji are u hearing?

If you are going to use a projector for low beam usage, keep that as low as possible to get a neat and more distant visibility. If you place it higher, the angle of beam will increase and thereby the beam distance decreases. Always keep the high beam in the upper portion like in the stock as it should be in parallel line with the on coming traffic to get max out of the high beam or to blind them

This is the rule of thumb, bigger the lens, better the beam spread, so if u r going for a small lens the beam spread will be bit narrow than a bigger lens spread. The most important factor is the quality of the lens, so before buying it, go for a test on a empty street and convince urself about the beam pattern. Most shops will test it within the shop itself, but if u ask them surely they will give a demo on a street view instead of a wall projection.

A bi xenon projectot's low beam is almost same as ur stock low beam, its the high beam where have to compromise as its not letting out all the light produced inside to get a very legal pattern.

We've discussed a lot about flashing with a HID, I guess u got what I meant.

Got led indicators and tail light developed for the R15. The indicators are brighter than the stock bulb and they look cool.

In few more weeks this will be for sale . Still trying to workout the pricing as it will be mass produced . And they look killer

For pulsar, apache and zma guys have developed a DIY Indicator you can just buy the LED board which will be pre soldered u will just need to open the indicator and fix them. Will post pics of the other indicators in the coming week .

got the ballast replaced.. as of now no flickering in the same bulb.. should wait and see what happens..
and about my ES.. stopped working long before DC conversion.. mech says the self motor is gone.. so can't check in that way..

                        • Sorry for the delay

There are many brands dealing in HID & projectors, always stay away from cheap ones as the quality will be greatly sacrificed with those kits. Cant say any brands too as mostly are Chinese ones with many names. I would say there's no specific brands in this as the kits are flooding like anything. Many manufacturers are branding in many names.

This is not going to be an easy bolt on job like other projector mods as this one have a very limited space to accommodate a projector. So be aware of the space available for the bixenon projector mounting before going for a new one. U can activate the stock high beam with a sepatate switch and projectors with stock switches or vice-versa at ur convenience.

There are many guys have already done HID on their rides and BCU is not creating any issues, and no need of going for coil rewinding as the scope is very limited for a P220. If u r reducing the load by using the HID its well and good for the battery and it will not make any harm but u'll get more backup time in case of low rpm runs.

Any battery walah will test this for u if u give'm some money He can check the charging rates at all the rpm levels and the battery's health too.

                              • Hello all

I own pulsar 150 gtsi ug2. I got my coil rewinded (5 poles 19 guage) as avy coil is not available in my city. Even after the rewinding there is no improvement in electricity (I checked with my 12/35 halogen only). Do I need to do something more to plonk 12/55 halogen?
Electrician also blew my 12/35 halogen while checking it directly

p.s. I hve not changed rr unit.
