Thanks. Well there is technically not much of an advantage but in the bulbs i am using wide angle LEDs. Earlier LEDs were regular white LEDs. Using the bulb type mounting enables us to mount them directly into the socket, so no need for pulling extra wires.

[QUOTE]Hi Buddy,Originally posted by sajjt View PostJanesh, great Work man, this one should go to the DIY section for not cluttering with other comments and topics. U can request to Noor for doing so. So that it will be a ready reckoner for all enthusiasts.
Pls share the details of the LED u've used, I guess this can be adopted for brake lights too as this one gives a better visibility due to the wide angle visibility than the regular ones.
Thanks for your comments.
I have posted a new thread in DIY section and also uploaded details of the LEDs.
If you need the complete contact info of the supplier, please PM me will send it to you.

So do you mean to say that there is no point in going for Bi-Xenon HIDs on my polarized glass reflector?Originally posted by pankajshirke View PostYa Sajjt,
It seems quite contradictory but steelbreeze was opting to have have philips xtreme vision, philips xtreme power,Halogen with HID setup
Since his bullet already supports 60/55 watts bulb hence a cost effective solution is to replace the existing bulb with a good performance bulb hence purchasing a philips xtreme power bulb in 900 rupees pair is just a simple solution to get more light
Secondly Philips Xtreme vision so far I know tends to give light with bluish tint due to its higher color temp(correct me if I am wrong) hence not suggested because bullet headlight reflector is of polarized glass and not MFR hence he will not get the expected result with that headlight reflector whereas philips xtreme power gives excellent illumination with Bullet reflectors(Actually Tata Ace,Mahindra Jeep and Amby shares same reflectors).I have tested it on my bike and found excellent illumination on dark road.
Thats why my another suggestion was to go for a xenon bulb if its output is equivalent to the output of 100/90 watts bulb or a HID+Halogen setup.
Because polarized glass reflectors dont give great lighting effects if it is white light.I have experienced this(Osram NB gives good visibility at night with a MFR reflector whereas with a polarized glass reflector,I experienced almost driving in dark experience. But with polarized glass reflector of Tata Ace,Xtreme power showed very good illumination even on wet tar roads).Quantity is something that you count
Quality is something that you count on

hey guys i have an RTR Fi with me. Im on 12V 9Ah setup. My current headlight is halonix 35/35 HS1 bulb and runs on AC. The other loads are
- 2 pilot lamps of 4W each(4x2=8W)
- 4 indicators of 10W each (4x10W=40W),
- number plate lamp of 4W
- 7 LEDs of 0.5W each in brake light assembly (0.5x7=3.5W)
So that comes to a total of 35+8+40+4+3.5= 91W
Now i am planning to go for ONB 55/60W bulb to replace the stock 35W. That means a bump of 25W max taking my grand total to 116W.
If i remove the pilots of 4W each, then i will be saving 8W. that brings my total down to 108W. And my coil produces 105W (owner manual spec). So there will be a difference of 3W. Now my Q is will these 3W create any problem? OF course the ONB's high beam wont glow with all its might but other than that any issues like inners of reflector melting?
Also ONB's H4 bulb will be a direct fit to my existing socket right?
Edit2:- apparently Shreeni and most others have replaced HS1 with H4 bulbs without any problems at all. But still if anything new has come up regarding dimension changes and all, do let me know
Another thing i wanted to know is are there any readymade LED indicators available in the market in 12V range? i primarily wanted to cut the 40W that my indicators use to atleast 20W. IF that is possible then the 3W difference wont matter right?
Edit2:- i just found out that RTR's 8 pole stator has 4 poles for AC lighting and 4 for batt charging. So technically even if i manage to reduce the indicator wattage, i wont be able to help the AC lighting system in any way.
And what is the cost of a PAIR of ONBs? Is it 800 per pair or 1600per pair?
Edit- never mind i found the approx onb prices from earlier posts. Its 1600 for a pairLast edited by gautam_k; 08-14-2011, 08:06 PM.If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough - Albert Einstein
I think i know less than what you think i know.
