HID projector for Yamaha Fazer 150
Hi guys,
Can anyone here do Bi Xenon HID projector setup (Dual Hi Low) for my Yamaha Fazer 150? Any one from Bangalore? I am ready to bear all the cost.
If you can refer me to any bike shop or person, that will be also nice.
Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. Can you please tell me what do you mean by "Projectors with a bigger lens"? Actually am a newbie, so don't have much knowledge about it, sorry. Can you also tell me what will be the approximate total cost for a good setup (2 projectors left side + 2 projectors right side)? Can my Fazer handle it? or if you have any other suggestion....Originally posted by Kirankj1724 View Posttry in JC road.. starts from 2200/- with 6 months warranty..

the one's u get for 2.2k are actually having smaller lens.. hence the beam is not that wide.. i was using the same Chinese make but now shifted to P220's projector.. its a lot wider now.. try getting projectors of any car..Originally posted by abhidjn View PostThanks for your reply. but since you are going for 4, the Chinese 1's will do the job.. but not sure if your battery can support 4..
i suggest u go for 2 [1 right and 1 left]..
u can finish it under 5k
no idea about any branded one's..Last edited by Kirankj1724; 08-07-2011, 09:40 PM.

Dude, have u gone through it fully? Pls read it fully, the pic represents just for the name sake.Originally posted by steelbreeze View PostThis product is not bixenon. So I guess bixenons will be costlier right?
For Bi-xenon, u've to specify H4 when ordering. Cost is same for all bulb bases IIRC. U can contact the seller for a clarification.Last edited by sajjt; 08-08-2011, 11:36 AM.Do it Yourself, what so ever, if Possible

Thanks Kiran. Am little bit clear now. Can you just clear one more confusion please? As you are using projectors, how is the beam spread and visibility (Low and high)? Is the high is enough for highway riding? Can you post night pics of yours if possible? Thanks again.Originally posted by Kirankj1724 View Postthe one's u get for 2.2k are actually having smaller lens.. hence the beam is not that wide.. i was using the same Chinese make but now shifted to P220's projector.. its a lot wider now.. try getting projectors of any car..

Good job Janesh.Originally posted by Janesh.J View PostHi,
I did some DIY LED Indicator lamps for activa. These may work with other bikes using the same kind of bulb holders & led flasher.
Hey what advantage do these new ones offer wrt the old LED's which are mounted on the PCB cut in the shape of activa's turn signal lights?

imp declaration....:----
this project is only for one way highways, not at all for city limits.thease lights are really very powerful and improper usage MAY CREATE ROAD SAFETY HAZARD.thease lights are for off road lights, not just a bit powerful lights,so use this following data at your own risk,
the bottom line is-be prepared for the worst, use your power gracefully.specially when a maniac 6 wheeler or even a commercial tata sumo from small town armed with two 130/100 and 4 100 watt spots.
this lights are fitted to my fathers swift, but can be fitted to any vehicle with 120 watt reserved power,,,,
now the actual story....
before i was coming for my holiday,my father told me he wants a good pair of lights in his swift as the phillips xtream power 55/60- bulbs are not at all adequate for highways.so i contacted navnish ,he sent me a pair of 55 watt kit within 2 days, wow just wow.then some do it yourself types as usual, some experience came in to play, result ,well the brightest pair of lights even i have ever seen in my life in flesh.omg!!!!!!color is awesome.for get 100 watt halogens, forget 130 watt halos, forget 35 watt hids, this thing is above all,,,,,,,,,,,,period...
only test pending is nano techs 100 waat hid, only those can be more light then this.
full album-----https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...7e51bd3&type=1
chill off withsome cold water
special reflectors to handle the hids, clear lens full glass
securing the reflector on hh cd dawns rim with industrial glass sealant
had to cut thre back as the bixenon bulb was quite long, later sealed and made water proof by automotive airconditioning m seal flap

making the bixenon bulb to match the hotspot and work as a single beam,i used thin wire strip and removed the spring, the bulb can do bixenon duty if the spring is repalced again.focussing is very big issues as the hids are not ment for reflectors, but we can fine tune and get a very less glare if set properly.

now fitment in swift

mr hydar, the automotive electrical genious working on

arc welding goes on to fit the clamps.

angles fitted and painted

special reinforcment to reduce vibration

bumper fitted

custom wiring kit with hella relay and line fuse.

final outlook

fianl outlook

Ya Sajjt,Originally posted by sajjt View PostVery true, for good example: Osram Night Breaker
Quite contradictory
It seems quite contradictory but steelbreeze was opting to have have philips xtreme vision, philips xtreme power,Halogen with HID setup
Since his bullet already supports 60/55 watts bulb hence a cost effective solution is to replace the existing bulb with a good performance bulb hence purchasing a philips xtreme power bulb in 900 rupees pair is just a simple solution to get more light
Secondly Philips Xtreme vision so far I know tends to give light with bluish tint due to its higher color temp(correct me if I am wrong) hence not suggested because bullet headlight reflector is of polarized glass and not MFR hence he will not get the expected result with that headlight reflector whereas philips xtreme power gives excellent illumination with Bullet reflectors(Actually Tata Ace,Mahindra Jeep and Amby shares same reflectors).I have tested it on my bike and found excellent illumination on dark road.
Thats why my another suggestion was to go for a xenon bulb if its output is equivalent to the output of 100/90 watts bulb or a HID+Halogen setup.
Because polarized glass reflectors dont give great lighting effects if it is white light.I have experienced this(Osram NB gives good visibility at night with a MFR reflector whereas with a polarized glass reflector,I experienced almost driving in dark experience. But with polarized glass reflector of Tata Ace,Xtreme power showed very good illumination even on wet tar roads).

Janesh, great Work man, this one should go to the DIY section for not cluttering with other comments and topics. U can request to Noor for doing so. So that it will be a ready reckoner for all enthusiasts.
Pls share the details of the LED u've used, I guess this can be adopted for brake lights too as this one gives a better visibility due to the wide angle visibility than the regular ones.

2X55W HID Spots to screw the high beam riders
Are u insane
Oh Dear Drji - Sirji............... pls pls dont spoil these boys with ur lethal ideas
Am always afraid of each every DIY sessions from u as it would be an extreme one on the lighting section
The only guy who has challenged ur supremacy is our Nano who's sleeping on the 100W HID ballast as pillow which was meant for the high beam pod
He's got atleast that mercy and u Brutus what did u do

Very Neat setup with fit & finish and can't make out its just a DIY at a glance. U got a designer taste within u, I can sense that from every mod without tampering the aesthetic appeal.
The air conditioning poly foam tubes definitely add some fit and finish to the setup, but close the both ends with some sealants else, water will accumulate insider the frame and eventually it'll come off.
Actually I was dreaming of something similar for my car when ever I took my car to the highways, but ofcourse it will not be a HID for sure. Poor souls like me can't screw these truckies with these lethal search lights
