do you have any problem of reflector melting problem, any specific barnd HID or the general ones available (read chinese).

ro you have rewounded the rotor and using ape r.

i am actually thinking of using a 55/60w HID on pulsar 200NS. and was wondering if stock charging will be suffieicent since it already has a 55/60W headlamp.

also your HID is 55w or 60 w

P220 owners for sure would be using 55 watts HID on their bike.. Also on the 200 NS thread quiet a few folks are using the 55/60 W HID on their bike since stock in itself is of the same wattage..

Plonking a 55/60w HID on the NS is just plug and play there won't be any issues as its already DC and stock charging won't be an issue.

I had used a 35w HID on my P180 UG IV for almost 2.5 yrs (no rewinding required as UG IV is full DC) and did not face any issues in terms of reflector or charging or battery draining.. Only issue is HIDs (the regular ones atleast) are ineffective in the rains and when there is fog.. its like a white wall in front of you..

-The FZs electrical setup is DC.
-This means a 60/55w H4 bulb will be a direct plug and play fit.
-I could either get a normal 60/55w for 100 rupees approx or invest more and put in an osram Night Breaker or the Philips Xtreme Vision or Diamond Vision.
-will there be too much heat emitted by the bulb that will damage the reflector?
-how much do the night breaker and Xtreme vision cost. 1000 for a pair?

Many guys have fitted there FZ with the xtreme vision or night breaker and have not faced any issues. Even i am planning to fit the same.

Havent been able to find the bulb, so no idea about the price.

        Cheerz!!

No.. there is no issues with reflector. Its absolutely fine. Brand is Navnish Nagesh I guess you know him v.well.Superb product (Touch-wood). Never faced any issue except once I have replaced the Relay. My Stator is re winded with 18awg & no issues with my 50w HID in fact I am using P220 projector which is having H7 55w Halogen as AUX but not in B2B traffic.
If you are having OEM 55/60W then I think you can use 50W HID. Before buying HID, do some test to make it sure that there will be no issue with HID in B2B traffic. Buy 1 dual filament bulb (Model: 1157), (Rs 15 - 25) & holder, keep connected to your battery during night riding for 1 day. If you dont get the low battery signal then you can go for HID.

Actual wattage is 50 according to Navnish. There are 4 types (35w/50w/75w/100w) for vehicles. Mine is 4300k 50w slim ballast. You can try LEDs also but bit costly. https://www.facebook.com/pages/RSI-L...46512408776734

One clarification, HIDs don't emit heat as such and that's the key aspect of HID the reason the stock ones fade is the very light which gets refracted through the lens. Prolonged exposure causes it to have fissures and fading but nothing as much.

I'd suggest you stick to Xtreme Vision really lasts well and I've not seen any blackening as such. Costs in and around 1500~bucks.

                      Cheers!

                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
