As i don't have pics of this process because of little busy schedule but i can let u through out the process :
    Things required:
    1. led strip (smd 3528), it cost about ₹60 per meter
    2. wires
    3. black and sello tape
    4. tracing paper
    5. white m-seal or any other adhesive.

    process:
    1. take the led strip and check them by using 12 V adapter or battery.(interchange the polarity if doesn't glow)
    2. now u need to open the headlight assembly. and detach the reflector and glass (process given on xbhp threads)
    3. Take led strip and see how much length of led strip is required to make a close loop, so it can be fixed on the reflector ,round the lamp.
    4. take led strip of required length and attach them with wires(tape them so the +ve and -ve doesn't get short circuit). now wrap the whole led strip with tracing paper(3 to 5 times) and tape it with sello tape.
    5. check these led strip connecting it with position (pilot) lamp socket. (interchange the polarity if doesn't glow).
    6. make a loop of those led strip so that the leds are on outer part .(do it carefully) and tape both the ends, taking wires out.
    7. now fix that led loop on the reflector and m-seal them.
    8. if u don't have transparent (silver coloured) wiries then nail polish them with silver color or wrap it with aluminium foil, so wires doesn't look weird inside the headlight.
    9. now take those wires out from lamp hole. and connect the wires to position (pilot) lamp socket (if u want pilot lamp also then connect them in parallel)
    10. fix the headlight back and your done.

    • [Help] Right battery for HID projector fitted Yamaha Fazer

      Hello guys,

I am a silent reader of the posts of xBHP. This is the BEST ever website on net for gather knowledge about our rides.

I need help with the following:

I had the stock battery till date, but now the battery is completely dead. Even after full charging it drains out in a day or less. So I have decide Amaron Pro Bike Rider (Alpha or Beta - whats main difference between them?) maintenance free battery (let me know your views if there are better choices possible).
My Bike is fitted with 35w x2 HID projector: with the 12 set multicolor ring light (eagle eyes) and 2 6000k HID bulbs.
I want to get a more powerful battery for my bike.

      Questions?

      1. Is Y Fazer AC/DC if yes then can it be made full DC easily? (In the forum there are some posts and DYI guides on what I am going to requests here. I agree that this might be repeated for many of you guys. I need a consolidated and 'to-the-point' guide for Yamaha Fazer.)

      2. Can I install a more powerful battery (12V 8 or 9 ah) without any other modification? Bike can light up One HID with the the Horn pressed without issue, but if 2 lights are on then the Horn cries Stock battery is 12 V, 5.0 AH (10H)
I dont understand the fact that How can the R15 lit up 2 headlights with a 12V, 3.5Ah (10H) battery without issue?

      3. Can my bike recharge more powerful battery correctly or I will face problem if I just install a more powerful battery without recoiling the alternator?

      Non-related to the main post:
      4. Can I get a better Roaring sound and better performance if I remove the Air Filter cover under the seat?
      5. I wanna change the tyres, but some good branded tyres are only 140/70 instead of 140/60, is there any problem if I get 140/70 rear tyre?

Note: I don't have any kind of battery consuming attachments in my bike (other than the HID projector everything is stock)

      Regards,
      Boudhayan

You can actually do that but i doubt whether an activa's battery will be able to handle the pressure as its almost double the power consumed at present. Wish if my mechanic was on xbhp

I'm sorry for popping in, but can you please tell me, you should've converted the bike to DC, how much did it cost. Because I am thinking of fixing one for my first love VICTOR GLX. As flame and GLX are almost the same.

Also any other perks that were done fixing the HID.

              Cheers!

Converting to full DC DIY involves
                Rewinding wire - Rs. 250
                RR Bajaj - Rs. 480 or APE - Rs.1300
                Micro Relays * 2 = Rs. 150
Misc. ( Taperolls, wire sleeves, varnish, soldering materials) - Rs. 100

35w bulb can be used with 55w ballast without any issue. I've run like that for over a month. But, do at your own risk.

The ape rr can support higher current, I think up to 40A. Oem rrs are barely sufficient for stock specs.

The issue is with the battery. When I used 2 * 35w for a month with two year old Minda battery, the battery got dead.
See if a UPS 7AH can be fitted without modicifcations. I doubt it.

                            3. Can my bike recharge more powerful battery correctly or I will face problem if I just install a more powerful battery without recoiling the alternator?
Fazer produces very decent current, no need to rewind. a 55W bulb got full illumination at 3000RPM with the dead battery.
35w bulb can be used with 55w ballast without any issue. I've run like that for over a month. But, do at your own risk.
Is there any difference in the color and light output with the 55W ballast compared to 35W ballast?

Thanks much appreciated. What's the difference between APEs and Bajaj. Doesn't TVS have such a RR?
The ape rr can support higher current, I think up to 40A. Oem rrs are barely sufficient for stock specs.
Also the APE RR works properly only with load(battery). If there is no battery, the APE RR produces around 17V~20V, It gives the required 14V only with the battery.
This actually is a problem for bikes like Honda Unicorn, Ambition, CBZ etc which require DC for ignition; if there is no battery the bike wont start with APE RR.
But Pulsar RR gives 14V even without battery, so the bike can be started without battery(above bikes).
Pulsar RR gets hotter compared to APE with the same load.

I guess then it's obvious that the RR gets heated the Bajaj RR. Will get back here with some more details.

i haven't converted it to dc. No modification have done except led lighting. The whole thing (led modification) is done under Rs.100 by me. As flame's pilot and tail light runs on battery. so i have just done parallel connection to them. I don't thing that there is any need of dc conversion. As Flame is AC+DC. Be sure that ur RRunit, rectifier and and battery is in perfect condition. led strip can work very well between 10v to 15v.
