You have to do the coil winding & RR swap.

I already replaced two parking & number plate bulbs with LEDs. so stock 5wx3 now reduced to 1W (even less) total.
Disconnect battery (+) wire and connect multimeter across it.
Bike: 1 year and 4 months old
Battery: stock Exide 5AH that come with bike.
Nice absorbs, will help the people who to planing to change the bulb to 60W

Which gen pulsar you have & how many poles in stator coil.Hope you are using APE RR.

      • Ok guys thanks for the advice, so from all the suggestions i have concluded that either i have to rewind the coil and replace the rr with an ape one, or i can get avenger's coil and rr unit. Am i right? Please correct me, the reason for not getting the coil rewinding is that there are no good mechanics/electricians in jaipur, so i want a new products(avenger's coil and rr) instead of modified(rewinding and ape rr)
        Peace

          yes ape rr at
          2000 rpm i get around 6 amps

no you cannot use avenger coil if your pulsar is ug4 or higher as they have dc electrical and avenger 180 has ac electrical. Avenger 220 has the electrical same as p220.
and if you want to use avenger 180 coil also then you need to rewind or ungrond before using it on you pulsar ug4

          • 35 or 55 W HID? Quickly warming up HIDs?

Hi, I have recently installed a single HID-projector in my Yamaha Fazer. Below is some history before I go ahead to ask my queries.

Fazer has twin headlights with ES1(similar to H4) 35/35w halogen bulbs.
It comes with 12V 5Ah stock battery.
However, I have upgraded the battery to 12V 9Ah.
I have replaced the right-side 35/35 halogen bulb with 55/60 halogen bulb. It is used only for the low-beam.
            I have replaced the left-side 35/35 halogen bulb with a 35w HID-projector setup using a H7(single-beam) bulb for high-beam.
My battery can successfully sustain the horns and other electricals with the 55w low-beam on.

My query is I can upgrade the HID kit from 35w to 55w? I do a lot of dark-hour riding on sparsely populated roads. Therefore, light is very much essential. I have heard that the 55W bulb is longer in length than the 35w bulb. Is that correct? If indeed so, shall it affect the light output? Should I go ahead with the upgrade even if the bulb length is longer?

6amps at 2000rpm that too from 8poles stator wow,
Then surely i'll do the rewinding in my bike.
I don't want to keep my 12 pole stator just giving only 1amp at 2000rpm.

              • Went to the SVC Morning for low beam bulb replacement.
But they just asking money for opening up the fairing and changing bulb.
They will not clean the area.

While my Bike's low beam, high beam, pilot lights. All glass's are fully covered with dust.
Is there any alternative ? :/

I remember the low-beam was useless when it works with this dust and now even high-beam throws less light

Got a Off today after 15 days. No expectation for next holiday.
                Wanna do it today itself.

I have to travel 20-30km in night daily.
Riding in night is very risky on Mumbai bumpy roads :@

Read carefully, it is only for Pulsars with 35w headlamps. For P220F, use this thread:

As of fazer only one is gonna glow during high beam.. ( hope you haven't modded ) so there won't be any problem if you upgrade to 55w hid as it draws more current only during startup( dunno the word exactly ) which your 9ah battery can handle easily..

In my opinion you can stick to 35w as you won't find much difference without projectors..

hid as aux light is better option then hid as main low beam light ???

No bro don't worry HID's are coming as a plug & Play. So no need to cut any wires.
And one question as what you are going to use the HID as a main light or a Aux light.

But you know the problem...In UG3 Everytime have to switch on/Off while self start. With your modification it can be avoided. One more thing.. Can I use the existing Stator with UG4 BCU as it has ignition coil & UG4 dont have ay ignition coil.
