You can use both bulb at same time without even diming them!Originally posted by rx_rider View PostAnswering your query specifically to the highlighted part below:
I have tried putting in 55/60w bulbs in left and right side and using them simultaneously(both bulbs working simultaneously on low or high beam) but it does not work. The bulbs do not glow to their fullest and as soon as RPM comes down, they dim out. You may also know that the Fazer does not start if its battery is drained.
if you use a dual headlight relay
just a additional wiring is need to be custom made -i have been using this setup for about 2 years on my friends Fazer and since 1 year on my R15
both the bulb work together on high(upper) and low(dipper) beam without diming or without draining your battery!
and remember R15 have only 3.5 amp battery still i can use two 35w bulb together- no problem faced ever!
so if you are using 9 amp battery then you can easily run two 55w bulb together- you will need to use this relay!Last edited by Vinit S; 03-21-2013, 08:37 PM.

please mail to bajaj about your problem at [email protected]Originally posted by addy.180 View PostI have a two year Pulsar 180 UG IV,
Came up with a weird problem, when i start my bike and turn on the headlamp it works for a few seconds and goes off. If i turned the keys off and again start it while engine running , the headlamp works for a few seconds and goes off again.
The pilot lamps are working fine . I had consulted bajaj service center, they told me to change the BCU , after replacing the BCU the problem still persists.
I approached many mechanics but they couldn't solve my problem. I have also checked all the wiring and had also replaced regulator but in vain the problem didn't stopped. Due to this reason i can't ride during night due to this issues. Please help me guys.
and tell everything with detail like name of the mechanic who had told that the bcu needs replacement.Last edited by rprathin; 03-22-2013, 12:21 AM.Give your details help a biker stranded in your city.

Hi,
Want to install Osram Night Breaker for my R15 V2... But it comes only in 55W. i know R15 battery cant withstand two 55W OR 1 55W and 1 35W bulb running together, So any solutions??? i cant use it only for low beam either bcz if i switch on High beam both of them will glow and that will be 55W+35W.. Help me plz

Recommend me a headlight bulb
Hi, please recommend me a headlight bulb.
I have a Yamaha Fazer(twin headlamps). I have upgraded the battery to 12V 9Ah (from stock 12V 5Ah). The stock charger-rectifier is retained though.
I have installed a 55/60w OSRAM 64193 ES1 bulb in the right-side headlamp and use it for the low-beam only light
I have installed a 35 HID projector with 3000K H7 bulb on the right side. This projector provides low-beam + high-beam light simultaneously as I have hacked its shutter. This bulbs works when the high-beam or pass button is switched on.
Now, I wish to replace the h7 HID bulb with:- 55 or 60 w bulb
- Pure white colour
- Halogen bulb
- h7
The reason I want such a bulb is it glows quickly to its full intensity unlike HID bulb which is of hardly any use when giving the pass signal as it takes upto 10 seconds of time to light up maximally.
Is Philips X-treme Power H7 12V 55W suitable for my needs, especially the pure white or near pure white color?Last edited by rx_rider; 03-23-2013, 02:12 PM.

Perhaps you missed that I have installed a projector for H7 bulb. So yes, I need a h7 bulb to be fitted into the projector. The projector presently houses a h7 HID bulb.Originally posted by Vinit S View PostAre you sure u have H7 bulb?

Hello,
My bike apache 180 2009 model, which is AC.
The bike has currently a projector set up installed.

The light is working now, both high+low beams.Output is flicker free,no battery discharge(May be because I don't use it much).
Problem is that output is too low.
I don't know what kind of HId's are used, voltage ratings etc cause the bike was brought second hand.
Also there is a small damage on the projector surface,as if someone dropped it while installation. Some glass is chipped off.
The red mark denotes chipped glass:

Can the output be low because of
1)damage on projector
2)The bike is still Ac(Will complete dc conversion help?,Any place to do that in kerela?Went through a lot of threads, still don't believe I can do it myself)
3)The hid+projector is cheap ones which will only produce that much output. For comparison that output is lower than my stock hero honda splendor.
Please suggest any remedy.
