Just recently, many bullet riders were caught and some were fined for just doing some mods to their handle bars (putting a long handle bar than the usual) . Others were fined for changing lights, exhaust and various things.

    Any opinions for this??

    Cheerz!!
Changing the handle bar to a wide one does affect other vehicles in traffic and changes the dimensions of the bike which is not allowed, changing headlights as i mentioned, if you fit an hid without projector, irrespective of kelvin temperature (3000k - 12000k) the cops will catch you as its dangerous because the oncoming traffic gets blinded.
And we all know, changing exhausts can also cause environmental hazards and may not meet emission levels.
I peronally love free flow exhausts, but will never get it done on my ride as i dont want to ruin the environment i live in, just for the sake of that sporty sound.

Just an advice. 8000k has a blue illumination. More chances of getting caught. Better opt for a 6000k (white) or 3000k (bright yellow).

Yup, it is plastic but way better plastic than the CHEAP chinese ones i saw, its quite sturdy and also, i havent yet removed the laminated plastic packing from it so its looking very cheap, but it would look good in action, the throw is quite good, thanks to the slim ballast. The shop guy actually showed me the difference in the brightness using the bigger ballast and the slim ballast. Its quite noticeable.
And i too thought its worth 2100 rs. so i bought it. Buying an original branded one for 6.5k with only 8 months warranty doesnt make sense to me.

Yeah, i know but i like the blue illumination, its just like the merc, and i had a word with a traffic cop whom i personally know, he said if there is a projector lens, nobody will catch you but dont use 1000k or 12000k as they are way too blue and wont give a good visiblity.
thats one knowledgeable cop i know.
There was this incident once when i was stopped by a cop at a traffic signal and was asked to show 'IMPORT PAPERS' and i was puzzled and stumped. Then finally i convinced him that its and indan brand bike by 'Hero' and then he let me go.

Oh yes, the glossy front part is hard plastic but the rear part is metal. I just checked it again.

ok, How much did they charge you for matting?
Dont you think 3.5k for the kit is little expensive , i got mine from grant road for 2100, you got some warranty with it?

hey thanks for re uploading the pictures..
well, i have finally installed an HID kit on my aviator
its a Chinese make.. but the product quality seems to be pretty robust... and yes it has a slim ballast
it had minimal wires to fiddle with, definitely not as much as i see in your pictures (or maybe that's due to the projector/angel eye setup)
mine was directly bolted to the existing headlamp and the wiring was done.

The only downside to this is..
once i start using the headlight, the volume of my horn kinda decreases, not drastically though but still it does!!

any insights on that, people ??

Yup the wiring is due to the double angel eyes etc, HID has only 2 wires lol.
And regarding the horn, an HID consumes more power than a halogen for the initial few minutes, but after that, it in fact consumes lesser power compared to halogen bulb. So is the horn volume low only for a few minutes or for the whole ride.
