It is illegal if HIDs are used without projectors in india atleast, as it definitely blinds the oncoming traffic, i have got blinded many a times and i know how it is. Way too dangerous.
Projectors restrict the HID light from spreading thru reflectors and focuses it on the road.
Seeing at the reflectors having HIDs is like staring at the sun.
So, in all, if you want to install HIDs and dont want to get caught and robbed by the white clothed thieves called Traffic Police, then you need to use a projector lens.

can you suggest any cost effective and reliable brand...???
Or is it better to go with 55w bulb like osram night breaker or philips extreme vision...???

Yup, the lights are low for first few minutes, and the power consumed is higher for first few minutes.
And 4300k are even brighter than 6000k.
And when some cop comes in front of you to stop you, just use the upper, and he may get unconscious lol

• I have installed an HID kit without the projector, however i have positioned it completely down..
I do understand that the reflector would still reflect the light..

now is there any way i can buy a projector and install this kit to it.??
I'm looking out for a projector without the angel eyes, angel eyes blow out far to often!!

Well you can DIY a P220 projector, use your HID in it.. You can get it from scrap market at CST Rd, Kurla. Cost effective!

Yes you can nstall a projector, you can go for p220 projector, it does not have an angel eye, but make sure that your bulb is compatible with it. depends on what bulb you have, h4/h7 etc.
ask an experienced mechanic about this compatibility.

yup it would fit in aviator very easily.
but yes you will have to remove the glass using heat gun.
Dont worry, its not as difficult as it seems to be.

I need your help.
I recently converted my bike to full DC, I gave it to an auto electrician, he did coil rewinding and installed Bajaj Star rr(it is like APE rr) I asked him to put 2 spst relays as few guys are using them.
but he said it is not necessary.

What should be the voltage and current rating on multi-meter at varying rpm?
also are relays a must even if I just want to install a 55/65 watt halogen for few months?
if yes then and what is a low cost and good brand of relays?

Thanks a ton..
no help at all............

Sorry buddy, honestly, i do not have any clue about the spst thing.
But i know that if you use a halogen 55/65 watt halogen bulb, you dont need a relay, however, the battery should be good enough.
Voltage i guess should be above 13.2V
BTW, why you asking about it? i mean are you facing any issue?
if yes, please specify so we can find out the solutions quicker.

If all the wirings are done properly, and as you mentioned you dont even want the angel eyes etc, so i guess the only thing needs to be done is to open up the glass and fix the projector.
This is very easy task and can be classified as a DIY, however, if you not very confident, i do know of 2 good mechanics, but in mulund.
Try searching forums, a guy has done this DIY on his RTR.

yeah these angel eye's blow out far to often, my major concern is enhancing confidence and lighting up the road.. and not adding bling value to the bike !!
