light illumination is much improved over stock 35w. Provided you adjust the focus as per your comfort .
Cant answer your 3rd question buddy, have not done the r&d
    sir,
i ve using p135ls for past 3 yrs
i changed my stock 35w bulbs to 55w without altering anything
my problem is i'm not getting enough light
kindly help me i dont want to use projectors

Please dont use HIDs if you are not going to buy projector as well.

Whats the wattage of your current bulg, 35 right? Then the HID will also work fine. But do use a projector, have some mercy on the people approching you. Its no good if you can see them but they cant see you in the blinding light.

You will need dc conversion if its not already dc for hid.
Now, 20 to 30 mins shouldn't drain the battery on a running engine using a 35w hid, please use a projector too.
Why not look into 2 dc led projector fog lamps?

You bike is dc from stock yeeeah
Now, you cant install the avenger one direct as far as I know, but a 35w hid shouldn't cause battery drainage. Use a projector.

i'll buy avenger coil and instal it in my p135ls
actually avengers coil is used to give what?
will it increase power output so that i get more voltage
wat wil be the cost of it in chennai

                Buddy,
since avenger coil is winded with thick wire it draws more current (Experts please correct me if i am wrong here)
I doubt if avenger 180 coil is direct fit in p135.
I had to alter one connector out of three when i got it installed in my p150 ug3
Get a exact part number of the coil i think its mentioned several times in this thread
do cross check before buying coil if it can be fitted.
                Influence grows like a weed........

A correction: It produces more current (ie electrical power) by taking it from the hp that the engine produces. You get more electricity and slightly less hp (the drop in power is less than a 0.1 hp typically)

Avenger 180 coil fits in 135LS, you'll need to use the RR from Avenger or rewind the coil to DC mode and use Ape RR. Do not worry about power loss, it only takes about 1/2 HP of power which is not noticeable.
                      I am back!

And ya awsome to hear its a direct fit now dont you love bajaj for this.
Bdw, why the rr change and how can you wind a coil to dc?!

Yeah, about half HP, actually lower than that but knowing the appropriate figure is impossible. Let's just say, one rewinded a Avenger 180 stator coil with 18 gauge wire, the coil would generate around 250 watt at 7500 rpm (135LS produces maximum torque at that RPM IIRC) so adding up the parasitic loss as no device is 100% efficient, we get 250+50 (Assuming 20% parasitic loss)=300 watt. So the alternator would consume 300 watts of mechanical energy from the engine to produce 250 watts of electrical energy. 1 HP=746 watts so that's almost half a HP of power. If you use the Avenger 180 stator coil without rewinding to DC, you will have to use the RR from Avenger as Avenger has AC/DC electrical system, and produces more power than the stock RR is capable of handling. Te best way to upgrade the electrical system would be rewinding the coil to DC and using Ape RR unit. This will make the bike full DC.

Here are some pictures of a Avenger 180 stator coil which has been rewinded to full DC (No lighting poles)

Thats some good calculation there, didn't think about that
Also , does the p135ls have full dc system? Or ignition coil is still ac? Anyone try disconnecting battery and kicking the bike to life,
I suppose its not full dc,
Maybe it is not sure, dont own one
Say my bike is ac/dc so I wont need the avenger 180 rr right with the 180 coil?
Also, this ape rr please explain how it is better etc and howcan it be connected plus prices
                            Sorry im asking so much
I hope im not troubling you

Pulsar 135LS is full DC, including ignition. You can kickstart the bike without a battery as the RR provides DC current to the ignition coil. No matter what your bike's electrical system is, you'll need to use Avenger RR if you use the Avenger 180 coil to handle the increased power output.

The Ape RR is great as it provides full DC output and can handle upto 27 Amps easily, the Ape RR costs 1850 rupees the last time I checked, and getting the Avenger 180 stator coil rewinded to full DC costs 1500 rupees (That includes the cost of a new Avenger 180 stator coil), so ultimately the cost boils down to about 4000 rupees including labor charges for fitting the stator coil and cost of 60/55 watt halogen bulb.

You are not asking too much and your questions are not bothering me at all, I'm glad that I could help you out.

Lovely explanation. But I have doubts on why the wire needs to be so thick. I see people recommending thicker gauge wires without realising that the power generated is a function of flux cut in each rotation, which in laymans terms is proportional the number of coil turns. Any comments on this area ?

BTW, that coil in the picture is one long wire from end to end correct ?
