I cannot conclude what exactly happens when that part is removed. And I wouldn't be chosing to run on high beam in city limits blinding others!Originally posted by pranav0091 View Post

First, it's not Bi-Xenon; just a shutter to imitate upper & dipper.Originally posted by Yashas Rl View PostI cannot conclude what exactly happens when that part is removed. And I wouldn't be chosing to run on high beam in city limits blinding others!
What happens when you use Upper(High-Beam) & Dipper (Low-Beam)?There is no honest path to prosperity - KoKa

Doesn't it depend on our wiring.Originally posted by SparKot View PostFirst, it's not Bi-Xenon; just a shutter to imitate upper & dipper.

Basically I've a quad projector setup! Operates two on low beam and two on high beam! And I cannot switch between low and high beams which is why I don't even know if I have an option of high beam as well!

Isnt that waht a BiXenon is (forget for the moment that it may oy may not have real xenon lamps) ?Originally posted by SparKot View PostFirst, it's not Bi-Xenon; just a shutter to imitate upper & dipper.

Its does, if you wire it properly.

Its more about the alternator than its about he battery.Originally posted by Yashas Rl View PostR15 with stock battery and 35watts each!

So you are going to have 2 high OR 2 low at any given tiem right ? Thats 70 watts. right at the edge of that bike's electricals I'd guess.
Do dhare a few pics, I'll be inclined to a similar mod not too far from now (planning to have a Fazer) So i'd like to know about the process better

I have such a bad knowledge about all these! Could you tell me what an alternator is?Originally posted by pranav0091 View PostIts more about the alternator than its about he battery.

The alternator is a coil (like a dynamo) in the gearbox compartment that generates electricity and stores it into the battery - like a pump filling a watertank.Originally posted by Yashas Rl View PostI have such a bad knowledge about all these! Could you tell me what an alternator is?

Your headlaps are taps that leak water from the water tank. If your taps leak more water than what the pump can fill, you will be in trouble. Therefore to get good stable water flow, you need not just good taps, but also a good water pump to fill your battery. Thats what the alternator is.
To beef up your alternator (highly recommended, but not exactly a must) you must re-wind it with more wire (longer length) - To handle the imcreased capacity of the alternator (water pump) you should also change your pipes to a larger diameter (use an RR unit from a piaggio ape) or the pipes *may* burst. Then you have a stong system in place to feed your 70W hungry projectors.
Note that you may not NEED to do all these - I have heard that the Fazer can support both high and low beams seemingly okay (electrical units are usually overdesigned anyways) - but for peace of mind, I'd recommend it if you can spare the money.

Thanks for the info! You put it in the simplest way.Originally posted by pranav0091 View PostThe alternator is a coil (like a dynamo) in the gearbox compartment that generates electricity and stores it into the battery - like a pump filling a watertank.

I shall speak to my mech about this!

Also keep in mind that all this will take out a tiny percentage of your bike's power from being usable. Its not significant, but I'll include that disclaimer just to be accurate enoughOriginally posted by Yashas Rl View PostThanks for the info! You put it in the simplest way.

Any photos of the illumination ? Say in a dark road ?
Whats the cost of the four projectors and their ratings if any (Light temperature) ...
And how did you mount them ?
