Ya, I have a 55/60w bulb on my Fz-16 and used to ride 2-3 hours at night (mostly on highbeam on highway) and never faced any problem.

        Ride safe and have fun.

HID is an option as it produces less heat, but again, HID without proper focusing is lethal for the oncoming traffic and for drivers and riders on the same way.
If a good Projector setup unlike those chinese projector, would do the needful.

Ok getting back to my point, I dont own a ZMA, i love the bike though.
This is basically to know if anyone has tried a 55 60w setup with out a relay and a Ceramic h4 holder and how long did it last.
            This is for a friend.
            Thanx!!

You dont need a cermic holder to run 55/60watt bulb on the zma. Its just plug and play, without any damage to the reflector.

Okay I See this good thread is back to life again.

If someone could help me. Please do reply.

I had so many small accidents just because of Poor lights on road in night. And I feel that my 220's Headlamp is not giving enough throw needed.

I see fee Bullet guys with those Dual Extra Lights on their Leg-Guard.
Can I get something like that in My Pulsar 220 without the fear of Getting Battery discharged and other battery / wiring issues?
              I'm on stock Battery.

The battery hardly matters. whats more important is the wattage that your alternator+RR unit is capable of delivering.

Baisally, if the bulbs you wish to add increase the wattage to more than that of the stock lights (55w right?) then you will most likely need some little rewinding of the alternator and a upgrade to the RR (the ape RR unit is widely recommended here) to enable it to deliver the power needed to the bulbs.

Using this opportunity to switch to a Full DC system is also recommended, if the bike isnt already.

                    2. Ape RR unit or even pulsar 180 RR which costs around rs.500
                    3. Little modification with the current wiring. And 2 micro relays @ rs.75/relay
                    4. A 5Ah battery. go for 7 amps exide UPS [email protected]
Well it would be bit tougher thing doing it on my own - Its not that tough but needs lots of effort

Total cost would be less than rs.2000 if you do it all by yourself and Good Luck.
                    Hi Sandeep,

                    Thanks for the consolidation,
What are these micro relay's. How different are these from the normal replays' in terms of size/performance.

BTW one of my friend is running on 55/60 W Headlamp directly from the battery using the Cars 90/100 Relay & Wiring Kit on his Suzuki Access.
He runs atleast 3.5 hrs during the day & 30 mins night driving. (Never we got a chance to test for 3-6 hrs of night driving), So no complaints till now regarding the battery draining.

                    Regards,
                    Sri
