Depends on the battery capacity. A 5amp is able to handle a 60/55W bulb without any issue. ( i am also using one)
If Dio has a 5amp or higher battery, use it without worrying.

      Ride safe and have fun.

Don't know much about that. Others might be able to help you better.
But even if they run on alternator, the electrical system is operated by the battery only. A 3A battery can't handle a 60/55w bulb.

are you sure your dio outputs so much current at engine idle to support a 55/60 watts + other loads if it does not give then your 3amps battery may get damaged when engine will be idling as every load will be from battery only.
did you re winded its coil? And is it dc by stock or you converted it? As far as i know the old dio were all ac+dc in which headlight runs on ac when engine is started.

yes it is h4 and new dio is also ac
when you will put your 55/60 watts bulb then it will glow dimmer than a 35/35 watts bulb in stock dio
you need to rewind the stator coil and rr change for a 55/60 watts bulb

battery will fry with this type of voltage soon
with this stock rr 55/60 watts won't work. In honda the rr are very different they only supply 35 watts to headlight part and other goes to battery for charging, this is discussed in this thread only search it.

What I want to ask is-Is white light street legal and RTO endorsed in India?? I have seen many people running those lights, but I have read people have been stopped by cops for penalty.
                      AFAIK,there is a wattage limit.
                      Experts,please reply

White lights, specifically, HIDs are banned when used with a reflector due to their high glare. Any kind of high beam is legally banned in city limits. HIDs and LEDs should only be used in low beam and with projectors. If they are run on high beams, they should be used for highways only. Others may correct me if I am mistaken.

I use the pass function frequently on highways.
So is it advisable for me to go for bixenon hid or hi lo hid?
