Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
Since i an using 55-60w halogen it consumes about 4-5 to 5 amps, i am even planning to replace this halogen so that i get better output with lower consumtion and at the same time get higher rated aux lamps.
The only problem is that here in india we dont have good quality stuff, good stuff still has to be imported.Using Tapatalk

Not only do they blind oncoming traffic but also kill your long range vision because they light up the 5ft ahead of u so bright that ur eyes cannot adjust for the lower brightness thereby killing ur long range vision.
This is why floods are strict no-no.
And the best thing about spots is that u can adjust them low and high beam acc to your need.
I know this because i had bought a pair of 18w led aux lights from karol bagh for 4k, now one these is an awesome spot beam with just a little bit of spill but the funny thing is that the other one is almost a flood. Of course the shop which i had bought this pair from simply failed to find a difference between the 2 lights at first. I had to wait for nightfall just to prove what i was saying. However it wasn't the end of it , beacuse the shop keeper then said that all he has at this point are floods and no spots but he will arrange the it in a couple of days.
So i went there after a couple of days only to find that he had failed to arrange the spots by then and then this saga repeated itself a couple of times and i reconciled with myself that he is just not going to replace it.
Yeps this is the kind of service we get for our hard earned money and the experience for trusting somebody.
And this shop was none other than MSX MOTORSPORT Karol bagh , Delhi
And while i love my spot beam, i absolutely hate the other one because it is simply USELESS.Last edited by gunner143; 04-28-2016, 09:30 AM.Using Tapatalk

Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
So can u suggest a good led headlight that uses cree leds.Originally posted by theironhorse99 View Postthe main light output comes from the right bin and cap on it. there are many companies making bin and caps just like cree however the lumen per watt might not be same.
there is philips , LG samsung , Epistar which makes good LED beads but no where close to what CREE does as they have patented everything. you would carefully need to identify the bin and bead to see if its cree or a blatant copy.
i am a premium member of alixpress ( i mean it ) however i still never bought a H4 bulb from there. reason is simple. the lumen per watt those will make will be way lower.
cree would theoritically make 120watts per lumen and when tested will about 95-100 lumen per watt. so a 20 watt Cree bead bulb will roughly give you 2000 lumens. that is 700 lumens tops over the standard halogen bulb.
Chinese ones though work as provided but generate 70% lumens of what cree does so a 35w bulb fabricated and made in china will make same lumens as a 20w bulb made of genuine Cree beads + bin and optimal circuitry.Using Tapatalk

Re: LED HEADLIGHT LAMP FOR APACHE RTR 180 new version
Morimoto and Cyclops is the best so far... 100% agreeOriginally posted by techfreak View PostLED bulbs from Morimoto, Cyclops surely use CREE items. Though little expensive these brands give peace of mind.
if you have budget then cyclops is the way to go. H4 led headlight is roughly 5K delivered. 20/40watts.Originally posted by gunner143 View PostSo can u suggest a good led headlight that uses cree leds.
you can also try on Turbo V16 LED through ebay.in .. details in last reply. same design as cyclops and similar wattage however output would be roughly 85% of what cyclops does but at 50% of the price.
amazon, flipkart or snapdeal sell all china made low output LED's by china it does not mean all are bad however most sold on locally here aren't worth it.Originally posted by APACHE_RAJ View PostI want to replace my halogen lamp with LED LAMP , for that i have searched a lot but i am confused for following things-

Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
Guys PLEASE help here, as I HAVE "0" knowledge of 💡. So please for me "let there be LIGHT"
OK, the pictures below are from my RE thunderbird 350. These are the stocks & there is 2 of same bulb. I want to replace them with LEDs, so I can get MORE light, less stress on battery 🔋, if the light will come in white colour, it will be ❄ ON THE CAKE. Budget tight.
PLEASE provide the details,
1) type of Connection the bulb has!?
2) options I have without modifying anything.
3) can it be DIY to fit in???
THANKS
