    Hi all,

After going through this thread I recently purchased a CREE LED set for my KTM Duke 390. I have made a video of How to DIY. I am yet to post my review of these lights, mostly by this weekend I ll surely update the thread after a weekend ride.

Let me know if any of you have used the same! You can check the DIY here:

    Cheers!

Nice video! 👍 Will wait for an update. I have bought something similar to that from AliExpress recently. It may be a month before I can get my hands on them.

What's the color temperature? Looks little more on the blue side(6.5k?).

Also the description of tis bulb also says about some anti-glare cover(?) on the LED bulb so as not to blind oncoming traffic.
Guys, would LED headlights like those work on an AC setup on a GS150r? Also, will this be a direct plug-and-play affair on the stock bulb which is also a HS1?

I'm having doubts on the operation of these LED's..many quote it to run on DC, but i have seen T10 LED's like which run on AC setup and they seem to be at the proper brightness too.

Im planning to get something like these projector type LED's as a replacement for my pilot lamps :

Some of these LED's come in 3W-5W and should provide sufficient lighting comparable to my stock 35W halogen headlight. Question is, will these run on the same AC?..Will the LED's life get affected becos of the AC setup?

To the best of my knowledge, motorcycle LED's would be affected by an AC setup. It needs to be run on battery(DC connection) and the current output should not be based on your throttle input. Get your headlight to run on battery and then use the LED you have referred to. I recommend you not to run these LED's on AC as it may burn the circuit.

T10 LED's are only for pilot lamps and their output is very low. Most of the bikes have direct battery connection for pilot lamps. I think even these run on DC.

I don't use a relay yet thats why I am asking it here that which replay like of which company's relay's are preferable. Right now there's no replay connected to the bulb and the bulb is working on the stock plug but its responce is too low as compared to other 90/100W.

Im not sure about that, the pilot lamps on my bike get turned on only when the engine is running, but going by what u said, probably because the output is low, its maybe okayy to run them on AC? Those projector LED's are way better than the other 5 SMD T10's, even for the same 1.5W as the light is more focussed.

              • USB portable charger and LED lamps

Hi guys need suggestions for buying a usb mobile charger for motorbike as also for led auxiliary lamps.
                1.Usb charger requirements
                - amperage as good as a wall charger preferably 2 A.
                - waterproof and dustproof
                -short circuit protection
                -warranty if item goes kaput

                2. Auxiliary Led lamps requirements
                - twin lamps
                - should not drain the battery extensively
-good throw at least 30 to 50 m throw
                - CREE lamps preferably (i wonder if all sellers selling cree lamps in india are original.. I have seen u7 cree lamps on amazon and flipkart but hesitate to take them doubting the authenticity).
-if not cree, good quality led lamps that should last long and have some amount of warranty/guarantee.

I have a Kawasaki Ninja 650 therefore compatibility may be checked with it. Also i do not wish to spend too much like(30k for morimoto).
My budget for a charger is around 1k and for the led lamps around 2.5 to 3k

                Suggestions are welcome

I own a 1996 Kawasaki Bajaj 4S Champion. All Stock. No modifications as yet. The bike works fine.

I plan to upgrade the stock headlight and also install additional lights/lamps mounted on the leg guard. I wanted to understand what are my options? What stuff/brands to look at? Does this require any change to the stock bike parts? Like bigger battery? Alternator etc.

Looking for inputs and thanks for help.

Try the Bolt charger .... I have been using for a while and it is brilliant.

I received the LED's which I ordered from AliExpress and loved them! I liked the one I had on RTR and now will install this on D390. These are very bright but consume one about 26W at 2.2A. Reaches around 72C at max where are halogen operate around 200C. Will update after installing this on D390.

Both high and low are 25W. The position of Led's are different. Front one switches on for low and the rear one for high.

I've got a Pulsar AS200. I'm looking for better lights but don't wanna change the setup. I'm looking for powerful yellow lights. It comes default with a projector for low beam. I'm looking for an upgrade on both the bulbs. Also need to keep in mind that I don't have a kick start option, so need to avoid straining the battery too much
